One of the few remaining independent hardware stores in Calgary is also one of its best.
Admittedly, I don't go there a lot, but when I do they are always really, really helpful. I usually end up going there thinking I need one thing, only to be guided to the item I actually need.
Look, I know what you are thinking: Why go to a small store when you can go to the bigger ones and they'll know that they have exactly what you want and probably for a dollar or two cheaper.
But shopping at Hillhurt Hardware just feels right. And you'll be surprised by their selection, no honestly, you will be. By shopping here you are supporting a real family business and that to me is worth spending that extra dollar or two. -

Hillhurst hardware is where Hank Hill would shop if he was a real person and he was in Calgary. This place is like a Country General Store in the heart of Kensington - definitely your grandfather's hardware store!
Aside from its old school charm, Hillhurst Hardware has a great selection of framing, cribbing, and finishing tools, as well as an impressive array of new and used power tools. Moreover, if you don't see it there, the fine people of Hillhurst Hardware will be happy to special order it for you. So if you want a little slice of Norman Rockwell with your hardware, then most definitely get yourself down to Hillhurst Hardware.
