Herrschners has been a source for crafting supplies for as long as I can remember. The business started in 1899 in Chicago, and today there is a large Canadian catalog business, as well as the retail store here in Kitchener.
My wife loves to knit and crochet, and we come here for her yarn and crochet cotton. The store is small, but the staff here have always been there to answer our questions. Once we needed some special crochet cotton ordered in to the store, and they were happy to help us, although it did take several weeks for the items to arrive. There are also supplies for other crafts such as scrapbooking and sewing.
There is a clearance area at the back of the store where we go to take a look for bargains.
