I ended up calling Herman for my taxes because of all the great reviews that he had gotten so far on yelp. He definitely lived up to everything that was said about him. He has been so nice, knowledgable and responsive to all of my questions/concerns and has made filing my taxes this year not stressful or complicated. If you need an accountant, definitely give Herman a call.

I used to do my own taxes with Turbo Tax and starting last year i gave them to Herman to do, which saved me tons of time. He even found a bunch of items that i had missed!
Last year i got married and this yr, hubby and i gave Herman our returns a week before the 4/15 deadline and he was able to complete for us in just a couple of days! He also helped us compare which way our return would be maximized - filing separately or jointly.
Extremely thorough and patient with all our questions and would recommend to anyone! -

Herman is extremely good at finding the best way you should file and making sure you get the maximum rebate possible. I went to Herman instead of Turbo Tax because I had multiple states, multiple jobs and a lot of variables involved in my returns. He was very diligent with everything and took into account a number of things that TurboTax had initially overlooked.
For all you TurboTax users out there. don't balk at Herman's higher fees, he more than makes up for it with his competence and his professionalism. He will get you a higher return which will end up being a better value proposition.
He is also very accomodating. He met up with me on a weekend because I travel for work during the week. Last but not the least, he is a nice, friendly guy, someone you can trust your complex tax returns to.

I had never used an accountant before, but I opened a business this year while still having a full time job and things were a bit too complicated to do myself. Herman Yiu is a godsend - he made filing my tax returns a completely stress free process.

I thank the Tax Gods that I found Herman. I own my own marketing agency and also have a complex personal tax situation. I dread taxes and bookkeeping; however, Herman's pleasant attitude, calm mannerism, superior organizational skills and in-dept expertise makes it easy! He is always accessible and very responsive. You can't find many accountants like Herman in NYC.

Very knowledgable and approachable accountant. I've got a fairly complex tax situation this year, and Herman walked me through the best ways to track and manage all my relavent income and expenses. He took the time to understand my needs and answered all my questions. I walked away feeling confident instead of overwhelmed.

Herman has been my CPA for the last 5 years. I previously used random accounting firms in Flushing or Chinatown but I always felt that they were just grinding out returns without putting any attention to it.
Herman actually educated me on line item deductions and took the time to explain to me what my options are.
He is extremely knowledable, works proficiently and has very personable service.
I have referred several family and friends to Herman over the years and never once received a complaint. -

If you are looking for someone to save you money on taxes, you have found the right person, Herman knows how to save your money up to the last cent!!! He is very professional, organized and careful with his work. You will definitely save more using him than doing turbo tax yourself, don't believe it? try it! it's the only way to find out!

Just recently switched to Mr. Yiu this year to do my taxes, and I'm glad I did. The best thing about Mr. Yiu is that he really took his time to make sure that he didn't miss any itemized deductions. To my surprise, there were tons that my previous accountant had missed, and as a result, I got a bigger tax return this year. One thing for sure, I won't trust anyone else to do my taxes. Thanks, Herman!
