It was a pleasure working with David and Heritage Painting. They did a terrific job, from start to finish, on the room I was having painted in my new house. David was quick to respond to my inquiries, and was always punctual -- both qualities that I've found to be rare with contractors, construction and home installation companies. He uses good quality paint (Benjamin Moore) and doesn't cut corners, yet can get a room that needs four coats done in an afternoon. The quality of the work was very good. I also felt the price was reasonable.
I've always done the painting in my house myself, but this time just didn't have it in me to get four coats on the walls the day before we moved in. I figured it could go either way -- either the work would be worse (or at least not any better) than what I could do, or it would be much better. Fortunately, it was the latter. I'm planning to hire Heritage again to cover up some of the other odd colour choices the previous owner made. -

I needed a painter for my lil bldg, and decided to try heritage painting through the reviews at yelp. Dave was exceptionally good, and very professional. Like the other reviewer says, he was very polite, quick in response for quoting and starting the work, always punctual, he worked around our demanding schedules, he was fast, and the work that he did was good quality. He was also very patient and understanding with certain strata issues we encountered. It was a pleasure hiring Dave, I wish all contractors were like him! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Heritage Painting and Decorating opened their doors in 1997 and work in Richmond, Burnaby, North Vancouver, West Vancouver as well as Vancouver proper.
We specialize in exterior and interior painting for Heritage Homes in Vancouver. We also take on new construction and renovation work.

We guarantee work up to 5 years - depending on variables like exposure, surface condition, etc. Please ask about our guarantee when discussing your project.
As well as being an interior and exterior painting contractor in Vancouver, we take care of smaller jobs connected to the entire painting job. Sometimes unexpected issues arise when doing renovations. For instance smaller issues will come into play like minor carpentry, drywall, wallpaper, and pressure washing.

Meet the Business Owner: David F.
My family moved to PEI in 1977 where my 2 sisters were born and I lived till 1991. After 1991 I split the next few years between Vancouver and PEI. I worked for my grandfather with my uncles painting on PEI during the summers in the early 90's and in 94, 95, and 96 closer to full time.
In 1996 I moved to Vancouver permanently and have lived here since. I worked for a local painting company here during 1996 and early 1997 and then in June 1997 I started Heritage Painting and Decorating. We've been a member of the BBB since Jan. 1998. We are licensed and carry $5,000,000 liability insurance.
