Looking for that perfect gift shop? Well search no more , I have such a place.
Recently I was on a mad hunt to find the perfect gift for a friend of my . During my frantic search I realized Henhouse is a fantastic place to buy gifts!
Henhouse is a rustic looking shop in the Hydrostone market. They specialize in restoring Antique furniture and kitchens, but don't let this stop you from visiting. Beyond their adorable furniture Henhouse has a plethora of bath ,home, and baby items you'll not find anywhere else in the city. Most of they're home, bath and baby items are eco- friendly and or locally made .. this makes me smile :)
They carry a line of soap called Hempen Stuff made from hemp oil.. all I can say is " where has it been all my life ! " This soap smells amazing and keeps your skin soft.. plus the artwork packaging is lovely with it's flapper style design.
To my surprise the prices here are reasonable; Which cause me to buy far more then I ever expected.. oh well now I have a reason to redecorate again. -

Henhouse is a cute little kitchen and home shop in the Hydrostone that up until yesterday I had foolishly written off as just a tole-painting depot. (And yes, judging books by their covers is something I have a problem with.) But when Sylvia C let me know that Henhouse had dog toys that give your dog a mustache when held, I pretty much cleared my schedule to make this happen.
Much to my surprise, Henhouse is actually packed with all sorts of great little things from baby clothes, to indie artsy greeting cards, to specialty bath and cleaning products, to sock monkeys. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me but I really appreciate having a shop full of cool, little things to play with! Plus the staff were welcoming and friendly even though they were busy discussing an antique swap with a customer over the phone.
But down to business...yes - my dog now has a mustache when he plays with his new toy (check the photos) and it's the greatest thing to ever happen to my family. They also have versions that give a dog a long tongue - all for around $15. Which is quickly worth it after the first pic you manage to snap.

Country Chic at its best.
Henhouse is a lovely little spot specializing in the construction of unique, one-of-a-kind kitchen furnishings. The store is showroom of its wonderfully rustic decor and a display of true craftsmanship. It really brings a warmth to its product and a refined mixing of old and new.
Besides the furnishings, Henhouse offers a selection of kitchen accessories, candles, and soaps that remain fluid with its country-chic feel. Baby clothes are in the back as well!

Oh, new old-looking furniture, how I covet you.
The Henhouse specializes in hand-built and hand-finished custom-made reproductions of country furniture, and oh! it's gorgeous. Totally unattainable for me, but so lovely to look at. When I win the lottery I will pop in here and buy all sorts of stuff - armoires, cabinetry, decorations. Until then, I'll just look and enjoy. And they dont mind me looking - the shop's owners are super friendly. Perhaps they know that some day I'll come back when I can actually buy. -

Love this place called the Henhouse unique designs of furniture mostly for kitchens. Walking into this location housed into the Hydro stone area you can see the craftsmen ship of the furniture. It is almost like a new rustic which I love. New old kind of deal. One thing that I like was the armour in the front window and I would love to see this in my place.
Not only is there furniture they also house accessories like baskets and great paintings to show off this amazing furniture pieces. Candles and soap as well as a bath line that is amazing .
When I build my log home I will be back to the Henhouse to purchase some items as they are truly worth the $$$ -

Henhouse is a fantastic store. It is true, you have to go in with a thick wallet, but well worth it. So many unique pieces of furniture.
Items that make you go WOW! We loved it in here and the staff were so nice, take your time, they do not mind.
The Market area has so many great shops , this was is definitely one to stop at. -

Now, being a "renter", I can only drool over their kitchen designs. One of my neighbours actually has a Hen House custom designed kitchen and it's awesome. You'd swear you were living in the country in the 1800's but with all the modern conveniences of today.
But even if you can only dream about the perfect kitchen, there are lots of goodies to enjoy...from great handmade children's toys and clothing to beeswax candles and other hand crafted things to decorate your home, you'll be shopping here often. It's the perfect place to buy that special gift, and perhaps pick up something just for you while you're there. -

Henhouse is so sweet and charming with their custom, one-of-a-kind pieces, along with their uniquely designed kitchens. You can step back in time with their antique, country inspired craftsmanship, bring the rural vibes to your city pad.
The prices are steep; however, everything is unique as well as meticulously crafted with love and care. If you're not in the market for large kitchen or household pieces, then go bananas for their decor - like candles, containers, and sweet body goods.
This Hydrostone shop offers original finds as well as a cozy vibe, lush with goodies that are sure to make any home owner swoon. If you're looking to spruce up your home, head on into Henhouse to support a lovely independent shop.
