Review from Jessica P.
We went for V-day breakfast. The woman I'm assuming was the owner was very patient in taking our order and answering all of our questions as we tried to find the best vegan options, and explained the mistake on the menu on the burger marked as vegan, the sauce is actually dairy based. Most of the breakfasts had eggs, so we settled on the burger and decided to split it since 8 am is early for an entire burger. We ordered it without the sauce, and it was stacked and yummy. The coffee was also good, as was the salad and roasted potatoes that came with the burger. My only complaint is the price, we paid $14.50 for a burger that didn't even have meat on it...but I guess you get what you pay for! Quality food comes with a hefty price sometimes.

Very prompt friendly service. Visiting from out of town for lunch.
Nice ambiance quiet cafe type place.
Ordered the Beef Dip with Au Jus. Came on fresh roll and soup, salad, fries was offered. I opted for just the sandwich. Came and it was not what I expected. The bread was fresh and the beef tender but it was very very greasy and chock full of diced onions and mayo....not a fan. Didn't finish the whole thing and left.
I would come back, but I'd order the breakfast or something else, as I prefer beef dip served a little differently. -

Being a vegan family, it's always a task finding a good place to eat.
We really liked Hello Toast! They have vegan & vegetarian options & everything tasted very fresh. I only gave them 4 stars b/c there weren't too many options for kids although they are VERY kid friendly. They brought my boys a bucket of toys to play with & cute sippy cups.
I had a delicious veggie wrap with hummus & dill inside...yum!
The hubby had vegan bowl full of beans & brown rice & veggies & fresh fruit.
If we go back to Kamloops, we're definitely eating at Hello Toast again! -

We found this place driving from Clearwater to Vancouver. We needed a place with Dairy free/Gluten free options.
The server who greeted us was new so the owner served us instead. She was a middle aged awesome Hippy! She was a sweet and pleasurable person. Id give a 5 for service!
We had Soy Latte, Yellow Curry Rice bowl and a beef dip sandwich.
The Curry was good, not great. Its not a Thai restaurant but their rendition of it was decent. The veggies were crisp, the chicken cooked nicely and the rice was tasty. The portion size for $12 was a bit small but then again Thai curries are not known for huge portions.
The roast Beef Dip was very tasty. The cajun mayo complimented the meat and melted cheese. My only negative is that there was a bit too much mayo and the sandwich felt a bit heavy. Other than that it was great!
Im basing my review heavily on the service, atmosphere and general cool vibe. Its a good place for breakfast and lunch! Happy Eating! -

I have eaten here three times, I just don't get it. I find the place crowded, the tables much too close together and it's always loud.
The food and service is laid back - read slow but friendly enough.
I think it's average. My friends seem to love it there because of the soups but I expect more than that for an independants point of difference.
Average food, average portions, average service. -

If you love breakfast, you already love Hello Toast.
Sporting a vibe that rivals Vancouver's most infamous breakfast brunch havens, this notorious hangout will have you not only hooked on it's atmosphere, but it's ingenious menu of edible fares.
Hello Toast is commonly packed with local patrons so Be Prepared!
Bring a book, order a chai and remember that quality takes time.
If you're in a hurry, this place may not be for you, the wait can range from 15 to 60 minutes depending on how packed it is! -

Meh.
We read the two positive reviews here, and many positive reviews over at "that travel site". So we drove into downtown Kamloops to give Hello Toast a try for breakfast.
Au revoir, Toast.
This place really wasn't up to the hype. Sure, it's... cute. But the food just wasn't there. My wife had Bonjour Toast, their version of French toast. Whole grain bread with a weird thin coating of egg on the top? She didn't like it at all.
I had bacon and eggs. How hard is it to mess this up? Well, if you make your hashbrowns out of potato wedges and completely drench them in dried thyme you're off to a good start. The bacon was more like ham too. How do you do bad bacon!?
To top it all off the nice lady who was serving us kept coming out of the kitchen chewing on cookie dough. And she didn't even offer us any! -

The place is a great breakfast spot with excellent staff! Just finished my green eggs and ham which were very delicious and with the dishes being all different it really gives you the family style feel. A great stop for anyone traveling through BC!

First time in Kamloops and ate at Hello Toast after reading some reviews. Food was good, tasty with fresh brewed coffee. Staff was friendly. Decor was artistic and comfortable. Only thing, it was a bit pricey. Three breakfast dishes total $50.

Extremely overpriced for a mediocre breakfast selection. Walk a couple blocks over to Zack's if youre in the area and looking for some breakie. Zack's doesn't have all that much more to choose from in the A.M. but at least its way tastier and the price is more appropriate for what you get.

Terrific spot for lunch. We stopped here on our drive from Banff to Vancouver, and we were so glad we found it (thanks, Tripadvisor!!). Everything was delicious - homemade soups, salad dressings, sandwiches, etc. I would certainly frequent this place if I happened to call Kamloops, BC home, and I recommend stopping here for lunch if you're making the trek over to the coast.
