Review from Amanda F.
I'll keep this review short & sweet, because there's not much to be said.
When I first moved to North Vancouver about a year ago, there was a much bigger sit-down space, but now they've downsized into more of a take-out only spot (with just one table). Kind of a shame, because I like the over-the-top and fun decorations and extremely friendly staff, including some Antipodeans, of course! (the "hell pizza" chain is a kiwi export).
Hell Pizza is a little pricey for pizza, but its oh-so-worth it.
Amazing, delicious pizza. Unique ingredient combinations. Seriously, you guys, their pizza is so good that I actually talked about it for several days afterwards the first time I went...and was soon back for more.
Best pizza I've had on the north shore, hands down. -

I was introduced to this place by a kiwi friend, and though she's gone home, this place is a little piece of kiwi awesomeness to still enjoy (the chain's from NZ, FYI). As someone with food allergies and lactose intolerance, this place is my pizza haven. Their pizza selection is wicked, with many offerings that I would even suffer the dairy intake to eat. They also have kumara fries and regular fries I order even though I really shouldn't eat them. I get the vegan pizza and I never get bored with it. They have jones soda in store (one of few soda's I can have), and the decor is also a great reason to go in and stay for a bit. The seating is good for groups, better yet for rugby matches, which they show.
Find them on facebook and add them to know the promos and event info. It's worth adding them, and it's worth going up to North Van for some kick ass pizza.
Also, they supported Waitangi Day, which gives them bonus points, in case you're interested. -

This place rules.
My cousin and I wanted to go here because of the name. Turns out the pizza is actually really awesome too. They have strange gourmet toppings.. like cashews and avocado... and brie!!
The pizza is awesome if you're in the mood for something slightly different and covered in cheese. Its like... classy pizza. Weird. They even have a vegan pizza which has refried beans on it!
I've been here a few times and never once have I been disappointed.
The decor is hilarious. I love the wallpaper (it is the same as on their website)
This is just a really cool place. Definitely check it out. The prices seem pretty reasonable and you get a LOT of toppings!
You should follow them on twitter too.. they have some pretty hilarious updates.
Hell Pizza now carries Daiya vegan cheese.Listed in: Favourites

Review from Jonathan S.

This isn't your typical pizza so if you're looking for Pizza Hut style toppings don't go here. It's different but it's quite good. I wouldn't plan on eating there as the place is really small. In the summer it's brutally hot too with their fire ovens. They even have gluten free crust for those who require such things.

I was excited to hear that this New Zealand chain has recently made its way to our parts. My mother-in-law loves the pizza
they serve down under, so I was eager to try it. The opportunity came about when the local celiac association was having a pizza party get-together. This motivated me to drive all the way there. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. The toppings (all gluten-free) were delicious on the Wrath pizza I ordered, (pepperoni, tomatoes, green peppers and onions) and they offer to spice up your pizza based on a chilli guide spice rating, (the guy recommended the forked tongue, where they add chili oil) but the crust made the pizza a distant second to the one I get down south at Romios. It didn't help that the guy put anchovies on after I had specifically answered no to the anchovies question. I think he was too busy asking me what I was doing that weekend to focus on NO ANCHOVIES! If I'm passing through N Van, I would definitely go again, but I don't think I would make a special trip.
