$1000. That should cover my Haute Cuisine cravings.
Here is my shopping list for anybody interested:
- we'll start with a whole set of multi-coloured cast iron Le Creuset pots, some so heavy I can barely lift them
-a myriad of cookbooks from French cooking to Jamie Oliver
-the super handy stainless steel magnetic spice rack
-one of the many ceramic teapots with the removable infusers. They come in such rich and beautiful colours
-all of the tea forte flavours for making cocktail mixes, especially the lavender citrus
-one $30 oven mitt (I already have the other one)
-a truckload of other handy little things I clearly 'need'
Come on. Christmas is coming up and I know you want to....

Haute Cuisine is perfect for any foodie on your list, and mine. The place is stacked full of great stock. I choose to ask the staff right away for what I was looking for and they knew exactly where it was. My item wasn't an obvious, kitchen desire and I never would have seen it browsing on my own, but she went straight to it. Knowledgeable service is always a great bonus. I was in the store and out in under ten minutes.
