I like the finer things in life. As I don't often have the money to have them, I come to places like this. I'm a kidder. I kid.
From what I gather, this Harry Rosen outlet-like store takes in the suits, jackets, pants, ties, shoes, etc. that the "normal" Rosen stores move out for newer, seasonal items. That is not to say that the items sold here are out of style by any means but if you were looking for THIS season's fashion-forward mens garments, you wouldn't start at Harry's anyway, would you?
So the rule is you usually get what you pay for and that goes for Harry's as well. You can be sure to get those salmon-coloured linen pants you've been looking at for a good price, but good suits will still cost a chunk. You may save a bit here and there on accessories but the suits only go on sale a couple times a year.
Stick with the "more established" salesmen (i.e. older) as they have a better eye than their younger brethren. The younger guys will also try to put you in something more "modern" and that usually ends in tragedy when that style goes the way of the sansabelt pants (look it up).
I've purchased a couple suits here - one was nearly 5 years ago and it still shows great after may hot summers / dry cleanings, etc. The last one I bought here was a little more flashy and cost a little more, but again with the cut, design, material and care this thing will last me for years to come.
Hundreds of ties to choose from, but no good deals. Same for socks, shoes and don't get me started on shirts. Buttoned suspenders are often available here and don't break the bank (and saves you a belt purchase).
You can get yourself a pretty good outfit(s) if you time your purchases right. I shall return.
