Came here with a friend for the shabu (hot pot) and was pleasantly surprised.
Hot pot is pretty standard everywhere you go and there really isn't all that much to set it apart. One thing that worried me about this place was its small footprint, typically in such cases where the restaurant is smaller the quality of the vegetables and meat are subpar. It's just a matter of a small business not being able to turn over their inventory and wanting to get the most out of it.
I was surprised though with Happy Shabu Shabu, everything was great! Fresh and tasty and the various broths were all perfectly seasoned.
Only issue was when it did get busy it was understaffed and as a result took awhile to get assistance or the bill. -

One of the first Hot Pot places that I went to. The first one was on the other side of this mall.
We basically stumbled upon this place by accident since that other place was closed, we walked around and came here. Don't you just love it when you find something new that you like?
Well we sure did. and have liked this place ever since. We don't come here as often as liked but things haven't really changed from my first try here to the most recent times. Food quality is pretty good. individual portions and combos the way you want. Yes, It can get busy, but you just have to come at the right time and not on weekends.
With so many little hot pot places to choose from and AYCE hot pots. Happy Shabu Shabu is a nice change from those AYCE eateries. Here you can get what you want without having to share.
