Review from Lisa N.

Since I've sabotaged Honolulu across the street, I often come here to eat when I'm really hungry. Been here numerous times, usually when it's not busy.
They normally only have one waitress working and it's not that busy. I'm a vegetarian.. so I only get the vegetarian tofu pot, which I think is awesome. But when they ask you how spicy, tell them spicy. Cause asking for medium does nothing. It's big, with vermicelli noodles, egg, cabbage, tofu, taro, tomato.. and so on. In a pot of soup, with a side dish of rice. Their portions are generally rather large. I've ordered side dishes before.. the cucumber one (not recommended) and the deep fried tofu. The tofu is really good, should try it. The chicken teriyaki rice and other rice items look.. big? They're kind of like a bento box. They don't actually put a lot of the teriyaki on it and it doesn't look as great as their tofu pots. Also tried their bubble tea, it's okay. Nothing to brag about. Should probably just go down to Bubble World for it which is a couple stores down.
A regular joint for dinner for me, would recommend it. It's inexpensive with quick service. -

Acceptable service, price is right and food is decent.
I ordered Hot Pot meal #4, Vegetarian Hot Pot and it came with loads of vegetables and bean thread noodles. I was pleasantly surprised when the server asked me if I wanted a choice of seafood or vegetable broth. YAYYYYY!!!
Not bad at all for cheap, fast eats. The parking, as usual at Crystal Mall is brutal, but get there a tad earlier before normal meal/rush hour and you should be fine.
Cash only. HSBC next door. -

I agree with Lisa N. that they are very cautious with spiciness, at least with whities like me. If you like spicy food, you would have to order it extra spicy. I had the vegetarian hot pot too and liked it.
Clean, colorful, casual, cheerful, reasonable place--tasty food. Worth a trip and then another.
(Not sure what to make of the fact that this was among the better meals we had in Vancouver. Are we unlucky? Too cheap? Spoiled by living in SF? Places that were recommended by guidebooks, yelp, hotel staff fell short over and over. Some, like All India on Main, were almost comically bad. I felt we'd've done as well just picking places at random.)
