The hotel is down the street from all the crazy, cheesy, tourist attractions, and was probably one itself in a former life. The inside is decorated to supposedly be somewhat like the French Quarter of New Orleans, with rooms that have interior balconies decked out with ornate iron rails. There's also a pool in the interior, so the whole place is a little damp and smells a little of pool water.
The check in was easy and the staff helpful. The room itself was a little damp from the air conditioner that was working very hard. The room got direct afternoon and evening sun, and so the AC had to work pretty hard to cool it down. The place was a little old, but had been recently refurbished, and had all the standard Hampton amenities.
They have a gray line desk in the lobby, so you can make all kinds of tourist arrangements there. The Hampton Inn breakfast was standard - and this place was packed - probably because it was around the 4th of July and Canada Day.
You can always count on a level of quality from Hampton - it might not be the fanciest place you ever stay, but it's always clean and the staff is always friendly. -

Worst, got the room 2 hours after check in time.
Hotel is little dated. Rooms have older decor, price however makes up for that.
bathroom had clogged sink.
breakfast area had no place to sit.they kept on running out of food. this was the worst stay we had at any hampton inn ever.
