This was a good place to stay.  The room was clean, the beds comfortable.

The staff was very helpful and friendly.  We arrived early, and they couldn't give us our room yet, but kept our bags, and we found them in our room when we returned from exploring the city a bit.

The location was about 6 blocks from Gastown, so easy walking to there as well as other areas of downtown.  It would have been nice to be a little farther west (more centrally-located downtown), but prices go up in that direction so we were happy with what we got here.

We needed to leave from the train station and thought we could even walk to it, but it's a little too far and has too many obstacles (bridges, stadium, etc); so we hit the taxi button on the in-room phone and connected directly to taxi services; used twice and both were prompt, clean, didn't price-gouge.

I was up there with my best friends for a fun Halloween girl's weekend.

First of all, the location is fantastic! Our room faced Rogers Arena (literally right outside the window!) which was very cool for a hard-core sports fan like myself. You're definitely better off on a higher floor at this hotel since the views are gorgeous! It was really easy to find, it's on the end of Robson street which is the central street with amazing restaurants, clubs, bars & shopping. From the hotel, I was able to walk everywhere in downtown, absolutely loved it!

The room was your typical Hampton room. Our beds were actually horrendous since it squeaked with any little movement I made but I'm sure the other beds were ok.

The best thing about this hotel was the roof top whirl pool hot tub on the 16th floor. My friends and I went up there both mornings for a dip right after breakfast. It's amazing!!!! The other thing was the breakfast - nothing beats a complimentary breakfast. Despite the breakfast area being extremely small for the size of the hotel, the food is decent. You have 2 hot items, waffle maker, plentiful pastries, cereal, fruits; definitely better than your typical 'continental breakfast'.

I gave this hotel a 3 because of the quality of the beds and the front desk service. The front office manager was very pleasant but the other two front desk agents we dealt with were unknowledgeable and rude. For example, an agent checked us out and charged our card without us telling her we wanted to check out. On top of that, we wanted to split the bill but she told us that she couldn't do that - which you can, I work at a hotel. I just didn't appreciate the curt attitude we received from them.

All in all though, I would definitely go back. Mostly for the hot tub & location.

My girlfriends and I needed a hotel for our overnighter in Vancouver.  My friend's mom had points for us to stay at the Hampton Inn, so off we went.

The location is prime downtown Vancouver.  Our room was very clean and spacious as were the lobby and hallways.  The view was nice.  We could see the water and BC Stadium from our floor to ceiling windows. We also spent some time in the hot tub on the top floor with a beautiful all-glass floor to ceiling view.

Oh what an experience we were in for.

After going out and coming home around 1am, my friends and I settled into bed.  We were asleep for maybe an hour or two when the fire alarm went off.  How very confusing.  We spent a good hour or so outside with the ENTIRE hotel while the fire department came in.  To my understanding, nothing was found and we settled back into bed around 3 or 4am.   I understand this is *probably* not the hotel's fault, but it's just an unforgettable experience, what can I say?! haha.  My friend asked for free parking for putting us through that and they obliged, which I appreciate.  I know they can't comp the entire hotel, but I thought free parking seemed fair.

All in all, it was a nice hotel.  It's a little pricey but it IS nicer.  I knocked off half a star because of the price and because next time we will probably stay right on Granville street just to avoid the cab to clubs situation (though it was close and not too pricey.)

I'll gladly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in downtown Vancouver.

The room was very comfortable with all the amenities you can ask for - a flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator, and a coffee maker. The bathroom was spacious and nice. The faucet in the bath tub to operate the shower deserves a special mention. Of late, I've come across some of the most complicated and stupidly designed shower taps. This one couldn't have been simpler - a welcome surprise!

    That apart, you get:

    Complimentary breakfast.

Complimentary two bottles of water - everyday.

    Complimentary internet.

Unfortunately, no complimentary parking. But I suppose that would be asking for too much in downtown Vancouver.

And every time I walked into the main lobby, an elevator was always open, waiting for me to go up. Now, how cool is that!

Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect when we checked in here.  Aside from a few online photos & reviews, we knew little to nothing about the place or the area in which it was located.  Turns out, this was a good location & within walking distance of a lot of areas in town.

We lucked out & got placed on a higher floor, which gave us a great view of the city from all angles.  The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was nice & spacious, which I didn't expect.  Our room also had a mini-fridge & a snazzy flat screen TV.  Not that we spent much time watching said TV, but it was good to have that option.  I was just excited about the cozy bed and it's mass of pillows for me to bury myself in when it came time to sleep.

Of course, I always dig free breakfast, especially when there's a ton of variety like there was here.  They had both hot & cold options, a nice selection of coffee and hot chocolate, & "to go" bags in case you were in a hurry & couldn't sit down to eat.  You could have cereal, or make your own waffles, or just snag some fruit.  Nice spread, really.

I guess my one complaint would be the elevators.  There's only two and they ran slowly.  Not that we were in a hurry, but it got crowded around breakfast time & made getting around a bit problematic.  I do like that the elevators required your room key to operate, especially since it led down to the parking garage.

The staff was friendly & helpful with maps & giving recommendations.  I believe they offer a free shuttle to downtown areas, too, but we didn't use it this time around.  Given it's comfy accomodations, price point, and generally good location, I'd stay here again.

I had very little expectations from a Hampton Inn but boy was I surprised. The location is great for food and entertainment. It is waslking distance from the BC place, Rogers Arena, Yaletown and Robson st. I got a suite on a higer floor. The room was very clean and the kitchenette was adequate. The hotel seems to have undergone renovations recently. For being downtown, the bathroom and the suite itself was huge. I liked the fact that they provide complimentary internet and breakfast as part of the rate. The breakfast has pancakes (make em yourself), scrambled eggs, hashbrown, toast, bagels/muffins, fruit, cereals and bevs. The eggs are a bit dry but overall its a good breakfast.

The hotel feels secure with your room card swipe required for the elevators and an underground car park. Parking is $20 a night. I have stayed away from this chain but many be its time to reconsider them.

I don't usually write reviews for hotels, but when in Rome, er Vancouver, do as the Vancouverites (?) do.

As the other review stated, this hotel is in a prime location.  It is within walking distance of just about everything one needs to see in Vancouver, minus the one part of the waterfront that I tried walking to and couldn't find.  What is wrong with me?  It had been almost 5 years since my last trip to Vancouver, but I didn't think my mind was gone yet.

Anyway, this is a nice spot.  Still a bit expensive for a room, but I imagine most rooms in Vancouver aren't cheap.  This is an expensive town.  Get used to it.  Clean room.  Comfy bed.  Breakfast in the morning.  Shower.  Toilet.  Sink.  Good enough.

This was a very clean room.  Though the outside is very deceiving.  It looks gettho outside, but inside it is clean and nice.  There's a big TV though the signals are not very good.  and a jacuzzi inside.

This hotel is also a short walk to the Rogers Arena / GM Place for the Canucks.  which made it great for us.  Also accross the street is the BC place, however it was under construction at this time.

Though the breakfast eggs are sub-par, they still had hot breakfast and that was good enough for me.

We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has a prime spot in downtown Vancouver. Close to all the Robson Street shops, the stadiums, and Yaletown! It's fabulous! Not to mention, it's reasonably priced for such a nice hotel.

The front desk staff are very accommodating; and the added card swipe security feature in the elevator make you feel more secure at this hotel. And everything is very clean and shiny here. In addition, if you forget any essentials - the staff will be more than happy to provide you with a replacement!

As Harsha R. said the amenities for this hotel are great! The complimentary water, breakfast, and internet were awesome.

The rooms were spacious with the flat screen, microwave and fridge. The room was clean upon arrival as well.

The negatives were the underground parking since the handicapped space is on the bottom level (P3) instead of the top one (P1). It's quite hard for a handicapped person to drive in a pretty tight garage. Instead of having parking for small cars they should make it for handicapped people.

The second negative is the breakfast even though it's free. They need to put the breakfast in a larger space since it was packed when I went. I didn't see such offerings like bacon like other reviewers reported.

The price seems to be pretty high for this property but it was at $155 for NYE which is VERY cheap when comparing it to other similar properties. Being a city hotel though not surprised it's a bit more expensive. However, don't forget to have an additional $19 daily fee for parking.

My husband originally booked us at the Georgian Court Hotel for our weekend trip to Vancouver. What he didn't realize when he booked us was that he booked a smoking room which I can't stay in because of an overly developed sense of smell. Since they didn't have any non-smoking kings available at Georgian Court they offered us a non-smoking king at the Hampton Inn next door which is their sister hotel. While it was nice that they accommodated us with a non-smoking room, but we ran into several frustrations at the Hampton Inn.

Elevators -  It takes about three years for the elevator to arrive no matter what floor you are on. We ended up deciding that on our trips down walking down five floors of stairs was preferable to the  seven minute wait. Yes I timed it the second trip and it took seven minutes for the elevator to arrive.

Room Assignment - We were put in a room that is right next to the elevator. When I say next to I mean that when you get off the elevator you are directly outside our door. Our room also happened to be next to the housekeeping closet on the floor so when I was trying to rest one afternoon I kept getting disturbed by housekeeping banging stuff around in the closet.

High-speed Internet - The internet actually would have been faster and more reliable had it been dial up. The only semi-redeeming factor is that it is free. Had I paid for this internet I would have been demanding a refund.

Television - I know you don't go on vacation to watch television, but every station was fuzzy. It felt like we were back in 1987 watching good old antenna tv.

Staff - The staff at this hotel is definitely the redeeming factor here. Every staff person we encountered was very friendly and helpful.

Location - The location is great it is a short walk to Yaletown, Chinatown, Gastown and Robson St. shopping.

I don't think I'll stay here again, but it wasn't the worst place I have ever had to stay in either.
