Ugggghhhhnnnff. Sometimes I really do miss the days where I didn't have to worry about things like houses, cars, mortgages and other things that are consistently unpleasant and expensive to deal with. But, in hopes of saving *you* some stress, let me point you in the right direction for those days when you just want to light your car on fire.
Woke up, noticed a tired was down to the rim, and realized I had absolutely no memory of how to change a tire. Conveniently, I also had no interest in leaning all over again especially I could just throw money at the problem to make it go away. Enter Halifax Towing.
The dispatcher was helpful at pointing out the costs of service in advance and efficient in getting a car in my driveway within 15-20 minutes of calling in. I can only imagine how important that would be had I been waiting on the side of the road.
Once arrived, my spare was on and pumped up with some air (he noticed it was also low) within about 10 minutes and I was able to pay the $50 plus tax with a credit card or cheque. Piece of cake.
The best part, though, was that there was little to no judgement of the fact that I couldn't/wouldn't do this on my own. Once I'm opening up my wallet, I really don't need to be reminded of my limits..Listed in: Cars and Wheels.
