No one ever wants to deal with a collision place, but inevitably in life, it winds up that you have to.
My first encounter with Carstar Halifax came after I called my insurance company to complain about the terrible paint job I got after an accident a couple of years ago from a shop in Ontario. They told me that they guaranteed the work from shops they steered people to and asked me to take my car over to Carstar Halifax to get looked at. There I met Cat & Rod, the faces of the shop, who took a look at the damage, shook their heads at the quality of the work done, and assured me they could make it right. They also gave me a quote for some minor damage on the back of my car from another incident which was very reasonable since they were already doing the prep work to paint. They were prompt getting it done, a great job all in all, and reasonable cost wise.
So after my mother (well, "someone", she wouldn't admit it) hit my other car in their driveway, I went to see Rod again about the paint scuffs. He disappeared into the back, came out with a bottle of something, and fixed the problem right away, no charge. Pretty good in my books. I then asked him about damage to the roof from an errant garage door - this car's a lease going back soon and I knew it was going to sting getting that fixed. He actually referred me to a guy in Beechville (The Dent Specialist) because he could get it done cheaper he thought. Turns out the Dent Specialist couldn't do it, so back to Carstar I went. Again, great friendly service, and while it'll sting my wallet for a bit, I'm sure I saved money over what I'd pay the leasing company.
You hope you'll never need the service, but if you do, definitely get a quote from Carstar.
