A Hair Mecca! Anything to do with hair you will find here and at a cheaper price than the salon, well worth the trip.
If you are dying, streaking, bleaching, doing foils, highlights, adding extensions, cutting, perming, or just experimenting. This place should meet all your needs.
You can buy everything, cutting shears, razors, capes, those awful pull sticks, you know the ones when they put the cap on, you have to sit through the agony of having your hair pulled through a tiny opening, so they can put that colour on.
We go through such agony for our looks, I really do think women have an extremely high pain tolerance. Having been an Esthetician , I can tell you for sure, Women go through a lot to look good. Waxing, well that is a story on it's own.
Once all the pain of over, we all look fantastic! -

This is a fantastic shop - geared to professional hair stylists but open to the public. You can get everything from shampoo, to hairdryers, clippers and every other gadget to get gorgeous.
There are aisles and aisles of dyes and more. But perhaps you're looking for something more drastic...wigs, extensions should foot the bill.
I, however head there every time I need a little touch up before going to get my hair dyed. They're the only place in town that sells crayons to touch up those roots. -

This is your ultimate hair affair. Located at the near-end of Hollis Street, the Hairdressers' Market is nothing short of stocked. Ripe with brands of the professional product spectrum, this is a spot to seek solace in the education of hair-care.
Its a modest abode, with minimal space and an unfortunate adorning of hair posters. Its hard not to feel like you're being watched, as pouty faces and angular haircuts douse the walls for promotional purposes.
But its sure got the answers to hair woes and latest market trends. Hair pieces, shampoo, color and cut supplies, treatments, mousse and gels-- no hair-type is left uncovered. And after my extensive browse, I am wondering if I should be paying a little more attention to my own tresses. This market is a large one-- and the lengths people will go for perfection is a little astonishing.
I think I'll just stick to my odd Aveda product for fancy-smancy times. And my 5 minute upside-down blowout seems to work well. But if are someone who dabbles in the depths of the hair world... this is a location to grind gears.
FYI: During my visit, the woman was raving about the latest fad, Moroccan Oil. Supposedly its the "hot thing" right now and a mighty force for healthy locks. -

You know this place, right? Come on - think of the ads you've probably seen in Faces or other local publications. I'm talking overly saucy young women, extremely made up, posing with hair extensions in hand. Have I got your memory moving? The models look like employees and the photo shoots are pretty chincy looking. Yeah...
Nevertheless, this shop carries everything hair related. From shampoos and gels, to wigs, extensions and shears - if you're a pro or a mop-top maniac, this shop is right up your alley.
Prices seem better than buying from the salon, and the variety of goods is unparalleled by any other publicly accessible haircare shop in the city.
Whether you're looking for hair dye, touch up products, flat irons or weaves - this is the joint for you. Maybe you can get yourself dolled up and offer to be in the next ad campaign. Just a suggestion...
