Genius!
As always, Karl is amazing. I decided I needed a big cleanup. Seeing as I'm very attached to my hair I went and saw Karl. Couldn't be happier. He truly is a master
Women's hair cuts are $45 and mens are $30 - it's almost free! To be able to see a stylist that spent many many years on the JOICO team and has perfected his craft over the past 25+ year for less than $100/cut is awesome.
Yay for Karl and Tiffany and Hair Mode. -

My mom has gone to Hair Mode for years and I have gone for the past three years. I took a year off to save money and I was getting $10 hair cuts.
When I finally returned back to Karl, what a difference! I am half black/half white and my hair is very thick and specific. Karl has lightened my hair to a beautiful and natural looking blonde and chopped all my hair off short. I can put my complete trust in his hands and he always has sound advice. I pretty much just go to him and say do whatever you thinks.
He won't damage your hair. He will tell you what your limits are and he is honest! If you suit short hair he will tell you. If you suit longer hair he will tell you. He's a straight shooter and it's great.
He's always courteous, friendly and best of all he owns this salon. It's just him and Tiffany and they make a great team.
It's weird because in this day and age there is no website and only one other yelp review (how is that possible?) yet Hair Mode is a hidden gem. There are some things you should spend a little more on and a quality hair-cut is one of them.
Book in advance as there is usually a three week wait list. Well worth it! -

I've been going to Tiffany and Karl at Hair Mode to get my hair cut for years and they always do a great job. If you're going for the first time, it's a good idea to bring some pictures of what you want. But after they get to know you, your hair, and what you like, it's gravy.
There's always something cool on the stereo - lots of '70s and '80s classics - and good conversation all around. I live some distance away from the salon now, but it's always a good time when I go there.
In the last couple years, Lucy the Pug has been added to the mix of personalities at the salon. She barks when anyone walks in the door (pity the mailman), but will just as soon curl up in my lap for a nap while I'm getting my hair done.
Hair Mode now also carries the full line of Aveda hair products for sale, and they also use Aveda for styling. A little pricey, Aveda, but it smells fantastic and lasts forever.
