You know, I don't hate H&M. For one, it fills me with sweet nostalgia from my time in Europe when I saw their sign on every Goddamn street corner. Second, the clothes in here are pretty wearable and the prices are low. I also have better luck finding my size for dress pants and shirts. Find something on sale and you're gold, Jerry. Gold!

Aside from the difficulty finding the changerooms (they're in the women's section), I have no major qualms with this store. The staff may be oblivious and aloof, but that's S.O.P. for mall retail, y'all. Remember when you were a snarky seventeen-year-old? I don't expect a personal shopping experience here.

Clothing available for men, women and children. Go get 'em Dufferin Mall.

Obligatory Title Acronym: It's HIT or MISS in here.

Menu Readability: I think it could be fun doing graphic design for a fashion chain.

Need to mention: Their clothing has the durability of dragonfly wings. Be ye warned.

What this place teaches me about myself: Dufferin Mall really is bringing it these days.

No real complaints about this H & M.

NOT picked over, which is surprising, and they always have a wide selection of sizes for any particular item!

There are never ANY lineups for the change rooms and seldom more than a 5 minute wait in line to pay.

For sure, the customer service isn't great, but for someone like me who never needs their help anyways, it's fine.  If you can ring my order up without over charging me, you're golden.  No offense, but I don't know what people expect as far as "customer service" goes at a place like H&M.  If you want a fashion consultant, you're gonna have to shop somewhere else. Try Holts.  The only help I need at H & M is finding out if they have another size available in the back, or getting them to call another location to see if they have the item I want, and I've never had problems with them doing this for me.  They're usually happy to help.

One thing they need to work on is their security.  I hear the security alarm go off an unnecessary amount of times each time I'm there no matter where I am in the store.  It's so loud and gets really irritating... I can only imagine how the employees feel after hearing that their entire shift.

Are there any staff working in this store? Hello? Anybody home?

Oh there's one, working the cash, but she can't help me because she's busy helping customer pay for stuff.

Oh, and where are the fitting rooms? Let's wander around for a while. There, around the corner hidden away, not obvious, and no signage to point me in the right direction.

OH HEY! Here's all the staff. I guess the fitting rooms are where all the cool hipsters hang out to bitch about how they hate their jobs and the crap they're going to do on the weekend for all the customers to listen to while they try on their clothes.

The two stars go to this H&M's location concealing lots of goodies I don't always find at the other H&Ms. Plus, it's not usually as crowded as say the Queen Street location, or the Eaton Center location.

But, the reason I am only giving this location two stars despite their hidden gems, is due to a certain employee's lack of common courtesy, and really, seeming consciousness.

Please, just because you're wearing skinny jeans and what you presume to be uber-hipster large black framed glasses, don't act like a douche bag and treat customers with such disdain and disinterest that it leaves us wanting to run screaming from the store in disbelief that some people are actually raised without normal common-courtesy and people skills.

This said employee did not even look at me once, let alone make any attempt at eye contact or a smile, whilst I was trying on articles of clothing today. Perhaps what he thinks is his trendy and unique fashion-sense (yet is nothing but a carbon-copy of every other trendy-ish store employee or Queen Street West frequenter) entitles him to act like a complete idiot and creep, but he is sadly mistaken. I honestly questioned his sobriety and consciousness, for it seemed he could have at any second passed out.

And please, for the love of God, do not subject us to your pretentious attitude which you are trying so hard to portray and slather all over yourself, as we are merely lowly customers who may be forced to throw down our clothes all over your highness's H&M fitting room counter in agony, for fear of having to witness how much of a douche bag you are any longer.

I love this H&M. Sure it's in the Dufferin Mall, and sure the Dufferin Mall induces nausea and fear in some people, but in comparison to the Eaton Centre location I used to haunt when I worked in that hood, this store is fantastic.

It's organized, clean, AND is often pretty empty.

This is really why I go. The emptiness. When I shop at H&M I tend to try on about 5000 things. (funny shaped body, me has). Being able to not rush and try things on at my leisure makes me very happy.

    I need to go shopping.
