Review from Tai V.
I go here with a friend or 2 in the afternoon for a beer and some pool. Its a fine place, nothing special at all.
Kinda weird that you cant have your drink at your pool table even if your 4 tables away (kinda deters the drinking) ya, you have to walk back n forth to drink your unsupervised drink...
But its never been busy enough when I went in to have to play in the back of the large room.
Like I said I go in the early afternoons. -

Finding a pool hall in Vancouver could be a challenge. I happen to love shooting pool and frequent this place often. For the most part, it's reasonable for what it is.. they have lots of tables and I prefer this place over places like Commodore Lanes. All alcohol need to stay in the middle table section, and you have to walk back and forth every time you want to drink, which can become a hassle. On a weekend nights, pool is $12/hr which can quickly add up. The service here has always been pretty unpleasant and I am usually not too thrilled about my experience when the night ends.. but I come anyway because I want to shoot pool. Too bad.

Guys and Dolls is a nice pool hall with about 10-12 pool tables and a few snooker tables. They also have a few other games, such as chess and foosball.
Their drinks are cheap and they have a small menu although I've never eaten here. They also offer free wifi with a minimum $5 purchase.
I think their pool rates are very comparable to other pool halls in Vancouver and the staff are very friendly. This place has become a regular hang out for me and my friends and I enjoy coming here. -

The first time I played here was in the mid 80s & it was a hole back then & hasn't changed much since. Didn't go there for over 24 yrs becuz there were better tables elsewhere. Went back about 3 time last yr for snooker which wasn't my idea but only becuz it was convenient for a friend. I can only comment on the 3 snooker tables that appear to be Riley. Altho these tables are way better than the junk tables back in the 80s they are in very rough shape & the cloth is long over due for replacement. The playing surfaces are dirty & might have stains as well as small rips & divots in them. The table implements are very poor & rough shape too. The pockets again are torn or falling apart. The balls are grimy & don't appear to have been ever been cleaned. they're some of the worst tables I've played & definitely not worth what they charge. It's not a place for the serious snooker player. Try High Break Billiards or Top 147 Snooker Club in Richmond to experience what quality tables & equipment should be like.
