    EXCELLENT Italian Food!

My Dad has a Hockey Tournament in Vancouver every year so we make the trip up to BC from California each Easter.

Gusto Di Quattro is always on our list of places to eat when we're in town. The restaurant is low-lit, and small (not too small) just like an good Italian eatery should be.

The Owners always accommodate us considering we come with 15-20 people. By the way, they're quite friendly too.

Whenever we order our food, it's usually pretty much a smorgasbord but I will say that we ALWAYS make sure to order the antipasto, and that's simply because it's AWESOME!

The food is really good here, but the menu is very limited. They should have more options. Place is nice and cozy, very classy and not very spacious. Good wine list. Service is also very nice.
Definitely would recommend the place! And will go back once they change the menu, since I tried everything I wanted already:)

Yet another great review for this lovely little Italian restaurant at the very foot of Lonsdale.

Though there never seems to be street parking available in this area, you can park for free in the ICBC lot right next to Lonsdale Quay after 6 pm :)

We walked in without a reservation, which I understood could mean we might not get in, but it was close to 9pm on a weekend evening and we were seated right away. Yay! The decor is lovely, warm and inviting.

Our server was perfect.. just friendly enough, and very attentive. I asked him to select a nice wine for me and his choice was excellent.

Our seafood appetizers were quite yummy.. not be all and end all, but very very nice. Then came the pasta... we ordered the Quattro and the Ravioli. Well, OMG I thought I was in heaven. If you love porcini mushrooms you will go crazy for this dish. I found myself scraping every last bit of sauce from the plate even though I was stuffed. I could not stop myself! The spicy Quattro pasta is also extremely good.

I am quite sure anything you'd order here would be amazing or at the very least delicious.

I do believe I will go back and buy their cookbook!!
Can't wait to go there again soon.

I've gone here a few times and have always been super impressed with the food - it's absolutely delicious, and the pricing is very fair.

Parking is super easy, and service has been attentive during all my visits.

This is one of the best fine dining places in North Vancouver.  It's our go-to place when my hubby and I want to have a romantic date or want to celebrate just being together and having an excuse to dine out.  A very good wine list with prices ranging from moderate to "you deserve a great wine"prices.  I like the canadian and west coast wine selection.

Try the appetiser antipasto platter for two along with a burrowing owl pinot noir.  On other ocasions, 'we've had the rissotto, the ravioli( which is to die for), the delicious soups, the lamb..... Apptisers are good though not imaginative and desserts are predicatable but good.

While I have other fave fine dining places in Vancouver, Gusto holds a soft spot in my heart for being consistently reliable, within a short distance from home( hence easier and cheaper baby sitting), and for having good service. Always attentive and never snooty.  The wine guy and the manager really want to help the diners have a pleasant experience and it shows.

Excellent Italian restaurant, walking distance to sea bus. My wife and I go there quite often. Order the platter for 2. You won't be disappointed.

I ate at this restaurant in late February 2009. A reservation was made a week in advance for our group of 5. The restaurant called to change the reservation at least 3 times.

We had a nice table at the back of the restaurant. It was quite drafty though.

Our server was very friendly but quite inattentive. The restaurant is quite small and she didn't seem to have a lot of tables so I feel that her lack of attention to us was unacceptable.

I had their Caprese salad (tomato and mozarella). It was bland - I've had MUCH better. I was highly disappointed because of all things, an Italian restaurant should know how to make a good Caprese salad!!!

We all ordered the steak and pasta special The pasta was delicious. I ordered the fettucine pesto.

I ordered the baseball cut steak. I could barely cut into it with a sharp steak knife let alone chew it. They were kind enough to replace it with a freshly grilled New York cut steak instead, which was fantastic in comparison.

To summarize, this restaurant has tasty pasta but overall it's nothing to write home about. Also I've had MUCH better service at their West 4th location in Kitsilano.

This is one of the most consistently good North Shore restaurants.  Both the food and wine here are excellent.  Not a huge list, but everything you might want.  This is an elegant dining experience, and the perfect spot to take a romantic date in the evening.  Book ahead, though.  It's popular.
