Good! Walking tours daily in English at 11am and 1:30pm (or French at 11am) for $20 or so per person. Includes admission to the Notre Dame Basilica, some noteworthy historical and architectural landmarks, reasonably interesting factoids about Montreal, and of course a reasonably French Canadian nationalist narrative to go along with it. Enjoy, and try not to ask too many Anglocentric questions. :)
Tour tickets can be purchased on the spot at the meeting point, which was right at the main entrance to the basilica. -

I was hard pressed to find a general English-speaking walking tour on a recent visit to Montreal. This was the only one I found and we weren't disappointed. The $19.50 tour price included a trip into the Notre Dame basilica, which was breathtaking. Then we wandered around Old Montreal. My only complaint was the other members of the group which we were often left waiting for. We had 15 people in our group, and I think it would have been best limited to 10. but I guess you get what you pay for with guided group walking tours! Overall it was a great way to acclimate to the city.
