Review from Megan S.
Grindhouse films characteristically contain large amounts of sex, violence or bizarre subject matter. Grindhouse video has the normal stuff that you would find at Rogers or Blockbuster. But it's a cute little store, and it's independent, so pick this place over those other two.
Their sections include: New Releases, Television, Kids, Special Interest, Criterion, Foreign, Asian Cult, Comedy, Horror/Cult, etc. The staff here seem to really love their movies, so don't be shy to ask for a recommendation. -

This place is kind of like Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans: The hybrid son of a dying breed that was once proud and powerful, but now struggles to keep up with an ever changing world. While the independent DVD store may soon be a relic, Grindhouse is reason enough to commit to conservation. With 7000+ titles, you're guaranteed to find anything from new releases to cult classics to their specialty, slasher flicks. What makes this place special is the genuine passion the staff holds for quality film and their willingness to give a solid recommendation or just chat about the newest HBO series. It's worth visiting just to take a look at the horror film room (18+, sorry kids).

Review from Victoria R.

A movie store with a kick, this video place has a lot of cool things like a wide range of videos that include different types of subject matter. I like the fact that the store is clean and it has neatly arranged materials to view or buy. The DVD sales collection is pretty great. The tiled floors and bright lights really make a difference. Not the usual run-of-the-mill, dingy and dark sort of seedy video store, this place is a neighbourhood video store that's a must visit.
