This was step 3 of the terrifying first time home buying experience.

I didn't realize how hard it is to find a good real estate lawyer. I asked my friends for recommendations and none of them could or would recommend the lawyers they used before.
We took the advice our our mortgage broker and real estate agent and went with the lawyer they work with all the time. Again, we wanted to keep everything as easy for us as possible.
It was a little frustrating at times because we didn't know the exact legal process and the timing. We thought we were being blown off but really there wasn't anything Greg could do until the sellers sent him all the documentation. But once he got that (about a week before closing), everything went smoothly.
Once it came time to close, we met with Greg at his Mississauga office at our convenience. We sat down and he didn't rush us through anything. He explained every single step, document and fee. He answered every question we had. We signed everything, handed over the cheque and he gave us our keys. OUR KEYS!!!
Greg sent us all our documentation a month after closing. We knew he did everything right because all the bills came in and the town sent all the notices that proclaimed us residents.
We were happy with our experience with Greg and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and use him again.
