Just went here for the 1st time. AMAZING!
Great healthy salads, LOTS of variety, super nice/ laid back owners.
Try the Red and White salad, I added tofu and red wine vinaigrette, it was great! -

so this review is just based on my delivery experience. I haven't touched my food yet. I'm too effing furious. So my food took about 45 minutes to get here, no big. My phone rings, it's a 347 number I assume it's the delivery guy. It was, our building has a weird buzzing system. You have to look up our apartment number and then type in the code on the sign by the keys. I have a phone that rings up here, with a video monitor so I can see who is buzzing my door. I figured he got confused, so I ran downstairs.
I said hello and I could immediately tell this guy was pissed off at his life. (sorry, delivery man) I simply asked why he didn't buzz the apartment and come up in the elevator. He looked at me as though I punched his baby. and replied "why should i buzz if I called you." I said, well I ordered delivery...so....that means bringing things to my door right? Maybe I'm confused" (I didn't grab a tone, nor was I nasty. Literally an inquiry. He said, 'there's no standing outside. I don't need to bring it up to you." Mind you, his tone was literally one of the rudest I've ever heard in my life...I replied "Okay....well you can stop being rude and speaking to me that way. Or this tip can just go back in my pocket. There is no reason for you to speak to me that way."
He then crumpled up my grubhub receipt, yelled "keep your money" called me a 'fucking bitch' then stormed off to his car.
I don't mean to sound like a spoiled princess, demanding that you MUST deliver to my door, but come on....I ordered delivery. That means you can hop in the elevator! (Not even the stairs) and press a little button that calls my apartment! simple.
So rudest delivery guy I've ever met, I'm sorry that your day isn't going that well. But I work at a restaurant, I know everyone has a breaking point. I know that everyone has rough days. But you lose your cool in the comfort of a walk in cooler, or the back of the kitchen, or the THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN CAR!!!!!!!!! (in your case) Don't take it out on me. Funny, I was going to give you a 25% tip, but then you were a huge bag of dicks. So I hope your boss reads this review and I will be calling the restaurant to complain. Way to go. I hope it was worth it. -

I REALLY want to give these guys a good review - BUT I live 5 blocks away and I order for delivery and both times it has taken OVER an hour - for 1 basic salad and 1 panini.
I realize I could just go and get it, but I am in the middle of working. I get so hungry and frustrated and by the time it gets here, the tortilla chips are like soggy cereal and I just don't think it tastes great.
I wish they realized that taking 1 or 2 orders at a time would be better for the quality of food when it gets to the customer.
I was so excited a healthy place for salad was so close. :( -

I love this spot. I've tried the paninis and the salads. The food is excellent! The ingredients are fresh and delicious and the selection is tops, lots of variety. The staff is friendly and laid back. They have free wifi. Every time I hit this place I am more and more pleased.

Had the steak salad. Easily the most flavorless salad I've ever tasted in my life. I had to drench it in hot sauce to taste something. Perhaps it was just a bad day, but the salad dressing tasted like water.

Still keeping it at 5-stars... but I'm issuing a warning... avoid the split pea soup at all cost! Its bland and too thick and just narsty. Only bad soup I've had though... and the lady when I called in told me to get the chicken cream mushroom wild rice option instead... so I guess I'm the rere.

We love Green Streets! We order about once a week and the salads are always well prepared and the delivery is extremely fast. Today I was especially impressed. I called because an item was left off my salad and they delivered it to me immediately. (They even offered to make me a whole new salad. Which wasn't necessary, but so nice!) Great customer service and food. I highly recommend trying them.

I'm kinda embarrassed how much I go here. But it's the perfect solution to my empty fridge so I'm over it.
For seven dollars you can make whatever delicious salad you like, and then for two more you can add a homemade soup. They also do paninis, which I have yet to try but look pretty awesome. Healthy, delicious, fast and everyone who works there is so nice! The interior is great, definitely a place you can sit and enjoy your meal.
Bushwick needs more places like this! -

Just went there for the first time and didn't expect it to be so cheap.
Contrary to most salad bars in the City, the salad is 4 dollars and most ingredients here are 50 cents. Meat is about 1 dollar 50. No taxes or anything, so you wont have three croutons and a slice of tomato for 10 dollars.
I had a huge, fresh and yummy salad for 8 bucks. Not bad.
The people are also really nice and they let you try out the dressings (yes, I ate dressing from a spoon).
All in all, it's a great on the go spot if you want to eat healthy! -

food is yummy, fresh, well made BUT they are so chintzy on ingredients. If i ordered a steak flank wrap, I dont expect to get a veggie wrap with steak sprinkles. Come up off the meat. Also my chicken chorizo soup was very taste-y, but like the wrap was mostly tomato sauce and veggies. Minute meat particles were scarce.

So I've worked in the area (closer to the Morgan Avenue stop) for most of the past four years and just discovered GreenStreets today, and I'm in love!
My co-workers and I constantly complain about the lack of Hale and Hearty type locations out here - and let's be real, Hale and Hearty makes some great fucking salads, soups and sandwiches - and as much as they love Living Bread, their iceberg lettuce salads made me want to yack. That led us to yelp/scouting the area and finding GreenStreets.
For $8.17, I got a bottle of water and a huge mixed greens salad with croutons, grilled chicken, apples, radishes and cucumbers. The set up is pretty similar to H&H - picking your greens, toppings, dressings, etc. - and there were three dudes working there so it moves along pretty quickly.
I will go back for more gigantic salads, soups, panini's and more! Sold! -

Bushwick has notoriously been lacking in the healthy food dept for some time, I am glad to report that Greenstreets is healthy and delicious, and I have found myself ordering from them more than any other restaurant in the area. Their salads are tasty, and can easily be a full meal, the soups always homemade, and I love their sandwiches. Plus they're fast (I don't think I've ever had to wait even 30 minutes for a deliver) and friendly too.
Once they forgot to deliver the dressing for one of my salads. I called them preparing for an annoying back and forth, since that's like asking a restaurant to please come back and bring a packet of ketchup. Instead they immediately apologized, delivered the dressing to me within 15 minutes, and gave me a free bag of chips with it. That, people, is service. I only wish other places in my area would take cue from them.
Count a minimum of 7$ to deliver something to you compared to avg $10- 15 in the area and this place rocks them all.
BTW - I've only ordered deliver from this place, so I've no idea what their actual restaurant it like. But their delivery service is top notch. -

Another five star review. First of all, I think most neighborhoods wish they had their version of GreenStreet Salads - reasonably priced, freshly tossed, great ingredients, sandwiches, salads and soups. Sometimes you don't feel lik eating tacos or pizza and just want something healthy, but you know if you buy all the ingredients they'll sit in your fridge and go bad....
Enter GreenStreet Salads. For six dollars, I got a gigantic to-go container full of Greek Salad with excellent romaine, feta chesese, olivers, cucumbers, freshly cut red onions, and even red, sparkly tomatoes. NO MEALY TOMATOES!
I'm excited to try their soups.. I would have tried their baked potato soup except it's kinda 90F outside.
Everyone, please support this new establishment in Bushwick! The price is right and the healthy food they serve will only better the neighourbood. -

I almost don't see the point of reviewing GreenStreets. Why you ask? Because we all know that starting a salad restaurant in today's world of yoga fast food joints and farmer market bars, is pure genius! Why you ask? Because making a salad at home is waaaaay too much work! Who has the time? WHO!?!? I never thought that eating healthy(ish) would make me feel so goddamn lazy, but it does. I HAVE EVEN HAD MY SALAD DELIVERED! This is starting to sound really pathetic and yet shockingly therapeutic as well. Now that I think about it.........
Dear chorizo taco salad,
I have been thinking about you all week. Mmmm, your leafy greens burning their way through my body fat like Drano slicing through a sludgy pipe. You are going to free me from these deliciously porky chains of morbid obesity! What's that? add some creamy luscious cheese? I add the cheese, but you feel so naked, still. So I dress you with the creamy chopotle cheddar dressing. Light, NO! Medium,....... NO! HEAVY! UUNNNGHHH!!! can you feel that? *chickaBOWbannhhwow!* You dirty little salad. Shhh... Buffalo Chicken Salad,
You took care of me when I was bluer than the blue cheese that runs through your sexy, mixed, leafy leafs. A little nibble on your buffalo-y nubs, rubs me just right. Some veggies here and there to keep me healthy. You practically jump into my mouth with little to no effort. I'll eat the shit out of you. Anytime, anywhere my little BCS.

This is your best bet for healthy food in Bushwick. Not only that, but the service is very friendly and helpful, and is always quick.
I never order salad from anywhere. Period. But I've been trying to eat healthier, so I first tried this place a week ago. Since then, I have been back 3 times, and have ordered delivery twice (the delivery guys drives a car....awesome). If that doesn't tell you anything, I don't know what would.
The salads and wraps are delicious, and the portions are just the right amount. I've yet to try the sandwiches and soups, but I'm sure they're promising. -

There is a reason GreenStreets Salad is racking up the five star reviews, I stopped in here last weekend on a very warm afternoon because I was craving some veggies to cool me down and where else in Bushwick are you going to go for a fresh made to order salad? I only knew about GS via word of mouth and had yet to try their offerings, but man was I glad I finally stopped in!
First of all the staff was friendly and conversational. Second, I ordered the Cobb Salad which they very accomodatingly left the bleu cheese crumbles off of per my request and even offered me my choice of a replacement cheese! I went with the Farmhouse Ranch, not the healthiest option but hey sometimes you need to indulge a little. The bottom line is, that when I got home and tucked into that salad... I was over the moon. Delicious fresh crunchy lettuce, filled with a good helping of every ingredient... I couldn't have asked for a better salad. The fact that I was getting egg, avocado, chicken, etc. in every bite was what really thrilled me because usually salad places are so skimpy on their toppings! I know I'll be back frequently and I'm hopeful based on the plethora of good reviews that all my experiences will be just as pleasant! -

I just ate my first salad from this place and it was YUM! The highlight: portabella mushrooms. Perfectly marinated and cooked. I arrived about 15 mins before closing but all the ingredients still looked really fresh and appetizing and the ones I chose tasted great as well. Plus, the guys who own the place are super nice. Thanks for going against the grain and opening up a healthy spot in Bushwick. I bet this place will be swamped when the weather warms up.

FINALLY! A fast, friendly and delicious healthy food option in Bushwick.
Aside from the yummy Wild Mushroom soup I had, the price was equally as appetizing. They have a wide variety of greens, plus all the fix'ins your little heart can dream up.
But if creativity isn't your forte (I ordered the "Taco" salad--YUM!), you can order up a signature salad mixed fresh for you for a pretty reasonable price.
All in all, this place promises to be my "go to" spot in the hood. -

This place holds a lot of promise, but my first experience wasn't without a few flaws. It seems they are still getting things together, but I'm excited to visit this place again.
The biggest complaint I have is with the bowls they toss the salads in. Both of the bowls used for my order were wet and by the time I got the salads home the lettuce was soggy and a lot of water had collected at the bottom of my container (not very appetizing).
They use the same premise as Chop't (without the chopping), but I wish my salads had been mixed a little better, because I had egg in my salad, but the chunks were too large to fully enjoy.
Other than these small complaints, this is a great place and I'm really looking forward to seeing this place grow and improve. I've always said this area needs a place to go for a great salad and this might just be it. -

This is one of the best healthy options we have here in New York. Both the soups and the salads are fantastic at this Bushwick dive and the prices are so refreshingly not Manhattan realm. The Cobb Salad with chicken is extremely fresh and you see them peeling the avocado and dicing the tomatoes right in front of you. You can taste the difference between this Cobb Salad and your typical Cobb that you'd find at any restaurant. Fresh is the word that keeps coming to mind. The bleu cheese really makes the whole salad come together as well as the fat free honey dijon dressing. The french onion soup is healthier than most and puts a much larger emphasis on the onion stock and less emphasis on the cheese and croutons. The soup is full of fresh and delicious tasting onions. The salad and soup came with hot bread and I got a beverage and the whole thing was only $12-$14. Very good deal. Very good restaurant. Superb employees.

Our company heard about Green Streets from a coworker who lives in the neighborhood. Once we tried it we were hooked! The salads are the freshest we have ever had from any delivering restaurant we have ordered from. The offerings are extensive - enough to please every palate. The paninis are wonderful and we are taste testing every soup. When they answer the phone they are always very pleasant and the delivery people are very patient. If we have an issue, we mention it and it disappears. They are very attentive to their customers. We are thrilled that they are close by and look forward to lunch daily. I have even ordered a salad to bring home for dinner and my co-worker has been bringing them home for her son. They make eating healthily extremely easy and delicious! Place is pretty sweet. You get a pretty fair size salad for around 7 bucks and it's generously packed with the good stuff( steak, chicken, etc). There's also always plenty of dudes working so you never have to wait long. They're all nice too. My only complaint is that they will unabashedly hit on your girlfriend. On the other hand, they will give her free stuff and save you money, so i guess it's fine.

The food is pretty awesome, but avoid delivery. Twice now I've ordered delivery that arrived cold an hour later. Considering I'm 4 blocks away and only ordered a sandwich or two, this is ridiculous. I might go back but I'll definitely go to them next time, rather than wait forever for food I have to heat up.

Can't wait to start coming here several times a week. I feel like all of my food prayers in the neighborhood have been answered very recently!!
Had a great salad from here tonight... the guys working were super friendly and it took me 10 minutes to craft my salad because all of the options floating around in my brain were a little overwhelming (in a good way!). I have a ton of salad masterpieces in mind for subsequent trips back. This will be the perfect summer food to eat on my roof.
I only wish they stayed open a liiiiittle later than 8:30. -

Absolutely LOVED this place. I was in the city visiting some friends, and stumbled upon it for lunch. I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. I mean, come on free WiFi!!!
Tried the Southwest Flank Steak Salad. DELICIOUS! My only regret is that I don't have something like this in my hometown. Would definitely become a regular. -

Finally, we have a salad bar in Bushwick. No need to cross the bridge to get a fresh tossed salad. I had the Taco Chorizo salad. It was crunchy, fresh and it did not make you sleepy at the end. Great salad. If you try the Taco salad, be careful with the jalapenos, they are really hot. Overall, a great place. I am already planning my next visit, so I can try the soups.

a life saver. i love their salads and the price is reasonable. i think thus far my favorite would be the asian salad followed by the caesar salad. the grilled chicken on the asian salad is so tender. for the dressings, the lemon tarragon is awesome. delivery is quick and online order form is extremely convenient!
