Years ago when my ex husband and I lived in Delta, we consistently got take out from here. It was always bang on good. My favourite used to be the cashew chicken and the shanghai (or singapore?) style noodles (which I don't think they have anymore, they were THICK and spicy!)

My aunt lives in Delta, so when I spend the night we often order from here. Now my favourite is the chili chicken and vegetarian hakka chow mein and also the tofu with veggies. It has the right amount of spice and it's just damn good food!

Their wonton soup is flavourful as well as their hot and sour soup, it packs a punch when you have a cold or are feeling under the weather.

Indian-style Chinese? Chinese-style Indian? I could never keep it straight in my mind which one Green Lettuce is, but was sufficiently intrigued to bookmark this place. Many moons later, I got down far enough on Scott Road to try it out.

Turns out, it's Indian-style Chinese, but with a really, really big menu that offers something familiar from both cuisines, as well as some fine creative cross-over dishes, like spicy masala stir-fried beef. The Manchurian fried rice came with little veggie pakoras mixed into the dish, kind of reminding me of biryani. We had to order my favourite Chinese dish - lemon chicken - which was deep fried and served in its delicious sauce. The spicy green beans were the standout, though, with lots of smoky flavour and just a shade of heat.

There is so much on the menu, you could could probably come here for years and never have the same meal twice and have it all be delicious.

The atmosphere is pretty basic and the service is best suited to the assertive customer (if you want it, you have to ask for it), but when I crave some quality, Caucasian-friendly Chinese food, I'm headed for a booth at Green Lettuce, preferably beside the fish tanks.

In a place where good Chinese food is hard to find, look no further, Green Lettuce is the place to go. Although it is different from your traditional Canadianized Chinese food, it is worth trying especially if your taste buds enjoy spicy foods.

The food here is created in the Szechuan style using Indian spices. As the food is created in an Indian fashion, you will find a unique taste here, that is crisp and tasty. Keep in mind that there is no pork served at this restaurant. You will also want to reserve seating ahead of time, as it is very busy.

The servers are very accommodating and are willing to make modifications to your food order.

The portions you receive at Green Lettuce are enough to sate your appetite, and the cost is comparable to any other Chinese restaurant.

Easily my favourite Chinese restaurant in Surrey. Do yourself a favor and eat at this quality establishment.

We went here with high hopes, and were utterly disappointed. Soy sauce was at extreme levels in everything we ordered and any other flavor was non-existent. Veggies are fresh but finely chopped in soup, fried rice, and lacked any kind of taste. Food tasted like at a bad roadside Chinese stall in Nariman Point. Felt totally cheated when the pricey check arrived. Had to throw out leftovers. Service was sincere and ernest though.

Never again will I be found near this place.

Touted as the first restaurant in the Lower Mainland to offer Indian style Chinese food, it still remains in my books the best.

Their Kingsway location was apparently opened before this location, but I didn't take notice until this one opened up.  Strangely I find the food prepared at this location far tastier than the ones at the Kingsway location.

The chefs are apparently Chinese who lived in Bombay for many years before moving here.

The food is all flavoured amazingly with the Indian spices giving a great fusion of tastes in their various dishes.  Traditional Chinese Hot and Sour soup gets a certain extra zing added to it.

The Manchurian rice is to die for.

If you can't eat spicy you may not enjoy yourself here, but for those that can you will absolutely love every dish.

This is a nice family friendly restaurant that seems to be patronised by a lot of Indians! Winston, the owner, recognised my mother and gave us not only a 10% discount but also free appetizer and free fried banana ice cream. He is such a friendly guy. The food is quite nice and it comes quickly too! The menu is LONG and VARIED!

Chinese have had a long history in India (several hundred years) especially in Calcutta where many were or are originally leather tanners.

The Green Lettuce establishment is a flavourful addition to the NorDel community. I highly suggest the Pakora, the Fried Green Beans, and the Schezshwan Chicken w/o cilantro. Most of menu items do contain the spice, be prepared. If you like it spicy, this restaurant is for you. On the other hand, the staff were as sweet as their deep fried fruit, (which is also a must try when visiting this restaurant.) Mmm.

Awesome Chinese Food prepared under the influence of Indian spices! Always a busy place with the absolute best service in  the lower mainland! Try this: ask for a table in Kirk's section!

Dishes range from $9 to $15 and there are also a few combos for those who find all the tempting choices too difficult to deal with.

The Staff, awesome to a person, speak most Chinese and Indian languages/dialects as well as English and are you ready for this...Swedish! Treat yourself and your loved ones to a visit here soon.

I like this place alot. It is always busy so I take that as a good sign. Food is served very prompt after ordering. I always like to try something new each time and have always been pleasantly suprised by how yummy it is!
