Best Damned Iced Cream Bubble Tea In Town, and Cheap!
I recommend mango or green tea. -

This place makes me feel old. Really old. This place is a throwback to my highschool days - bubble tea/smoothies, community-shared magazines and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
I still flip through a pop trash magazine if one is laying around and will check my pockets for quarters if I happen upon an arcade machine -- but I think in my old-age, I've grown an aversion to all things sweet. Like how aging usually shifts left-wingers to the right and there's a gradual shift from sweet to bitter/sour -- I mean in taste preference, not demeanour.
Maybe because it's rooted in a certain time for me - cutting class, Mossimo t-shirts, Samurai Shodown, Ecko hoodies, ICQ... and bubble tea. So, in short - I was semi-coerced here and you should take my rating with a grain of salt.
This place is cheap - $2 12 oz. daily specials (+$0.50 for pearls) and there was a choice of 3 flavours. I went with the cheesecake ice cream smoothie. It was good - really good for $2. It was very rich and heavy on the ice cream. If I had to get BBT - I'll probably come here. It was really sweet (remember: cheesecake + ice cream) so I forced myself to finish it as my tongue was growing a cavity by the end - but it's probably the least offensive dessert smoothie I've had in a long time. So... good?
We showed up on a cold autumn day -- this hole-in-the-wall is really drafty especially with a front door that doesn't close properly. Despite how cold it was there were quite a few people getting a drink to go. We promptly hit the eject button when 3PM rolled around and swarms of high schoolers from 'J.O.' started descending on this spot.
Probably deserves 4-stars since this place isn't bad and it's cheap and the cheesecake ice cream drink was pretty good. However, instant star-dropper for the MvC2 machine being out of order. The bird's eye airplane shooter machine was working though. -

Is there new management? I don't recognize the people who work here any more and I certainly don't recognize the bubble tea. Seems a lot icier than I remembered and having a frozen pearl stuck in your straw is pretty gross...

I've been coming here since I was in high school!
I love this place. The strawberry slush with pearls is always my classic go-to drink.
I love that they have ice cream and loads of fruit available. They always have different drink promotions.
Some bubble tea places are getting a little too pricey, but its always a decent price here! GoGoGo! -

Dear Yelp, What is the point of providing honest reviews when you do not do a good job of filtering out the bad apples? I provide honest reviews with helpful information only to see several reviews filtered. Why waste my time?
I have been a regular for years....about 7 or 8 years now. The service is amazing. Steve remembers my name every time I come and asks how my sisters and my husband are. Get the stamp card because you can easily get 1 free after buying a certain number. Small family owned businesses are usually the best service. The ice cream shakes are my fave - mocha and green tea - and the fresh fruit - try the strawberry mango or strawberry passion fruit. Definitely one of the best! I find the $2 specials are a great deal, but I am so used to the large size that I usually get the large all the time. The pearls are yummy and the jellies are good too.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Hawaii 5-0 alert!
Needing a mini vaca? The pina colada smoothie at Green Leaf is absolutely decadent. Thanks to Marc D for pointing this keeper out!
The too-bad-so-sad: they were out of pearls. Darn. I settled for diabetes-in-a-cup (coconut jelly) and it was decent. It complimented the pina colada flavour though sweetened it just a tad too much. But let's be serious, bubble tea is always diabetes in a cup, so who am I kidding!
Tina and I indulged in a two-player arcade game while waiting. We both sucked equally which made for prolonged playing time. Bonus!
If you're pearl-obsessed like I am, call ahead to make sure they have pearls... because bubble tea without bubbles is just a regular ol' smoothie.
True story.
OH! I almost forgot!
Do NOT order the Avocado Mango smoothie. I'm sure you wouldn't, so it's silly to even put it out there... I saw the combo advertised on the menu and ordered it (yes, I'm a fatty, I ordered 2 mini bbt's in one go) assuming that if it was an option on the menu, it must be a fabulous head exploding combo. Well fabulous it wasn't. Avocado is perfect on it's own and mixed with fruit tastes like dirty feet... a confusing taste. Not recommended.Listed in: East Side wonders!, Drinks that change my life, BBT!, Fraser St

* The deal is on! *
Passed by and they are running their any 12 oz. drink for $2 including all taxes, bubbles, flavours, etc. deal again! Hooray!
Piña colada is my favourite here. It is decadent. They use coconut ice cream and blend it with fresh pineapple. Add some bubbles, and you've got an incredibly unhealthy yet decadent treat!
They have a really nice variety of fresh fruit options too when you are feeling a bit healthier.
The fresh watermelon is really nice, or for the more decadent ube ice cream flavour!
Yes - any of those for $2. What a steal! And if I only drink 12 oz. then it isn't really bad for me, right?!?!?!?!! Right?!?!?!?!Listed in: Vancouver Chinese Food, Dentists' Dreams in Vancouver, Brrr.......

So upon walking into this place, one might wonder why they haven't cleaned it in the past century - or why the only decoration consists of a few old arcade games along one side of the wall.
The answer? They were too busy making delicious bubble tea!
I have never in my life tasted a better green tea ice cream bubble tea than the one found here. It has most accurately been described as a 'joygasm' and by a wonderful random happenstance it is often on special.
I don't like coffee, but I'm told the mocha bubble tea is to die for too. I think my next goal is to tear myself away from the uber-delicious green tea ice cream and venture into some of the many fresh fruit flavours on offer - to go, of course. -

I frequent here whenever I have a craving for bubble tea in Vancouver, located on Fraser Street near 41st. What I enjoy that they have 2 sizes (small and regular). They make the craziest combinations of bubble tea! My fave coconut ice cream shake with red bean whole. The pearls are to die for here - not to soft and not too hard - the perfect consistency. They have daily $2 specials which is awesome.
Cheesecake flavor? they got it!
I wish they would renovate as I always take it to go as it's not the prettiest place to sit and enjoy their amazing bubble tea. Must go! -

This is my favourite BBT place by far. Decor is horrendous but that means the money goes into the ingredients, which is obvious as soon as you take a sip. Great prices too for such delicious BBT. You may have to wait a while to get it because there's usually only two people working but it's worth the wait.
Favourites: Green tea ice cream, Ube (taro) ice cream, fresh mango slush, fresh watermelon slush. -

This bubble tea shop has been around a long time (I think since 1998 or 1999) and for a very good reason for that! The array of flavours to choose from a simple milk tea to peach & pineapple (real fruit) to the delicious choices of ice cream flavour! Their tapioca balls aren't bad either, not too firm and not too soft. And fear not for those whose stomachs can't finish a whole bubble tea because they now offer medium and small sizes too. Plus, it doesn't hurt to know they have daily $2 specials.
This bubble tea shop is a must go for the bubble tea lovers. -

When I used to work in this area years ago, I remember walking blocks to pick up ice cream bubble tea for the entire office. So, when the summer heat kicked in I started thinking about this place again. I wasn't sure if they were still in business, but I took the chance and walked (A LONG WAY) and ..YES!!! Thank you!! They were still there.
YES!! Thank you!! They still served their mango ice cream with pearls. I see they have even expanded to include other ice cream flavours like Oreo cookies and cream. I stuck to my beloved MANGO Ice cream. Yum.
Yes. It's that good. If I can still remember it after 6 years and walked over 1 hr to get it...you know it's good.
It looks a bit bigger than I remembered, but still a small shop. Decor is not much to look at, but the only reason to come here is for the drinks they make. This is one of those instances where you can't judge a bubble tea shop by it's appearance. GO. DRINK. SIGH in contentment ...........mmmm
