Review from Annie M.
Vancouver, BC
Per my last 2 reviews, I came here for machine facial NOT for spa or body massage.
They had another new hi-tech machine (LED therapy) in shop, of coz, I tried it out.
The machine has four specific wavelengths - each well absorbed by skin tissue - proven to provide extraordinary therapeutic and repairing effects.
I found it's efficient and powerful of repairing my skin tone and lifting.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

Review from John G.

The reason I go to a spa is to relax and forget about all my worries. You can't do that at this spa on Kingsway! They're too busy using high-pressure sales tactics to get you to buy product while you're getting your massage!
I tried this place twice, once in 2007, again in 2010, both times after life situations changed and the RMT I'd been going to regularly was no longer available.
The massages themselves weren't too bad, considering the girls were not RMT's. But in both cases, they tried to get me to buy "extra good aromatherapy essential oils" to add to the oil they were using. The first time, I just politely said no. The second time, when I asked for more details, it sounded like I could just pay a bit extra and get a few drops added. Then when I was done my massage, she told me I'd bought the whole bottle, for a cost of $30!
I politely argued and refused to pay. It was a bit tense at first, but she backed off. Yeah, like I go pay for a massage (close to RMT rates, too, but NOT an RMT) so I can argue afterwards. NOT!
Had a similar problem the first time I went, regarding payment. They told me there was a special on - but after my massage they tried to tell me the special was only if I pre-paid for 10 massages! Again, I wouldn't back down, and I paid what I thought I was supposed to pay.
I thought I'd give them another chance three years later, but, as described above, they hadn't changed.
There's nothing worse than going for a relaxing massage and having someone try to "upsell" you. BAD business practice - this ain't used cars they're selling.
I will NOT be going back there ....
Quite frankly, having read the other reviews, and based on my own experience, I don't know how this place stays in business... -
