Great Things in Store is great for those on a budget, now a days that is just about anyone.
Keep in mind though, they will also take your stuff. If you are upgrading, give your furniture to them, it is all for a great cause. The Parker Street Food Bank. Someone will buy your stuff. I went in, there was some great things, I saw this really cool mirror I might go back for.
The people here are always great, most of them volunteer. Support this please. -

This thrift store is pretty fun. From old bottles of shampoo, to furniture, to art supplies - there seems to be a little bit of everything.
I was in over the weekend and had a fun time pursuing. One of my shopping mates picked up a sweet treasure of a record for only a dollar and one of my other pals bought a towel rack. I was tempted by the tape section, but decided to save my pennies for the day.
Ooh, and they often have cheap fresh flowers that are on their last days of survival!
I recommended swinging by and taking a peek. It's cheap and fun and you may just find a treasure. -

Great Things in Store is close enough for me to keep checking the bargains. Another second hand store but has some various items that is going to help me furnish an apartment for my son for school.
Anything from some pots and pans to curtains for the windows. Pictures and trinkets that will collect dust and I wont have to dust. There is some furniture available but nothing that really interested me. We did mange to pick up some kitchen wear that he can burn apposed to my good stuff. Great prices at this location always have me going back and checking stock as it arrives often. -

On one trip to great things in store I managed to purchase over half of the furniture that now lives in my apartment, a huge relief when you're living in a couple of empty rooms. I was also able to arrange delivery, which made the whole purchase possible. They even cut the delivery cost in half for me because we were picking up so many items.
But say that instead of furniture you're more in the market for... cheap food. Unlikely as it sounds, Great Things in Store has you covered there, too. On various visits I have seen tortilla chips, cookies, juice, bread, canned soups and more being sold here at crazy low prices. Go figure.
Like Liz says, stock is variable - you can't expect to find that dark stained wardrobe the first time you go (but you might!), so check back often.
