My boyfriend and I came here for the breakfast buffet during our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn that this restaurant is located in. Maybe we are jaded by big city American brunch buffet prices, but we thought $13 for a brunch buffet was a steal! (Of course we forgot about the crazy 20% Canadian tax, but it was still reasonable). The food on the buffet was excellent - the selection was not huge, but what was there was wonderful. In addition to pastries, cereal and fruit, there was a make-your-own waffle station and a place to order from the chefs whatever eggs, potatoes, meat & pancakes you wanted. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, potatoes, a waffle with nutella (!) & a banana chocolate chip muffin. I would have loved to have had a pancake too, but was just too darn full. All the food was fabulous, especially the eggs, which I was a little wary of trying since I've had some weird egg experiences in foreign countries (in New Zealand when I ordered scrambled eggs once, they tried to boil scrambled eggs in a pot of water). But these eggs were cooked perfectly, some of the best I've had in a long time.
More than the food, the service was fantastic. It wasn't too crowded, and we had 3 or 4 people falling over themselves to help us. In the US at a buffet, if you're lucky, you have someone refill your water glass and take away used plates, but here they were constantly getting us things & asking if could bring us anything else. They wouldn't even let me make my own waffle, even though it said "make your own." I also loved the system they had for ordering custom things from the chefs. Instead of standing in a long line waiting for your order like you do in the US, once you place your order you get a number and the waiters bring the food to the table for you. Amazing service!
Highly recommend for brunch if you're staying in the hotel or even in the area - it was exactly what we needed after getting off a red-eye from the West Coast.
