Back to school shopping... 5 year old boy, 8 year old fashion diva, where do I shop????
Make a day of it without crossing the border. You would be hard pressed to find a better "outlet Mall" style shopping district. It has nicely walkable layouts between stores, and a nice mix of shopping and eating to get through a marathon hunt.
We hit the children's place and got boys rugby style collared shirts for $3.99! We loaded up both kids for under $150.
I had to snoop in the H&M to see it, but being in my early 40's apparently not the H&M demographic.
The gourmet kitchen store was a temptation beyond compare, and there is, for convenience sake a monster Wal-Mart Super centre, a Future Shop and a massive Home Depot surrounding the outlets.
I got everything I needed and was out for exactly 4 hours, including drive time. My children are happy, and we all had an ice cream to celebrate. -

Cute little strip mall in Surrey- I would have never come here if I hadn't searched for a H&M.
They have a handful of cute shops here. Garage, Kitchen Therapy, Cupcakes, Moka cafe- to name a few.
Will definitely come back when the sun starts to show up around here ;) -

Grandview Corners reminds me of the Premium Outlet malls in America. Designed as an outdoor mall, this shopping district has a store (or stores for everyone).
And I just learned it span is actually 50 acres... now that is motivation to cross a bridge or two.
I went for a window stroll/shop with a friend, and was excited to see BCBG - with an up to 70% off sale no less. And loads of sale items! I then hit up H&M and scored on a slouchy black handbag I never saw in the location by me for $7. Swish!
After I spotted the Cupcakes location I got a bit peckish... but those cupcakes are made of wheat so they were untouchables for me. But there was a Montana's handy.
The nicest thing about this place, aside from the array of shoppes is the vast amount of outdoor parking. Plus it's newish and kept immaculate. A lovely experience on a sunny day! -

It's really cramped driving through this place. Kind of like driving around the new developments in Surrey where there are cars parked on both sides and you can only have one car going down the street in any particular direction.
Well not THAT bad, but it's what it feels like. In the United States these types of outdoor malls are sprouting up all over the place, but are always extremely large. I guess down here land is at a premium so they have to kind of cram things in. There's not enough parking either, in the Indigo corner of this place - unless you can find the covered semi-hidden parking. -

If you have to drive, just park on the street because parking is quite tight as other reviewers have pointed out. If you live close by, just walk. Everything is here, what more do you want. Fancy clothes and your choice of foods including Tim Horton's, Starbucks and Jugo Juice. A few restaurants around and music and pharmacy is all here. It's outdoors and not a closed mall which is a busy place when the sun is out. If you can shop during the week, it's less busier than the weekends.
