This store is A+. It truly blows away your larger stores (FansEdge) in regards to price and selection. Beyond White Sox items, they carry items from the other Chicago Sports Franchises which is great. They have a great selection of jersey and they also do lettering of your jerseys for a reasonable price.

Say what you want about their prices but if want something quick, authentic and to recieve personable customer service, shop here! Support Local Businesses!

My first instinct is to give Grandstand 1 star.  My experience started off less than satisifactory.  I ordered two Sox onesies on 1/31.  I received my order confirmation despite initially receiving an "error, your order could not be processed, please call..." message.  In a word - Frustrating.  But it seemed all was right with the world when I received that confirmation email.  However more than a week later I had not received any other communication by way of shipping notification or the package itself so I called to find out what the hold up could be.  I was told at that time that they were sold out of the size I had ordered which was why nothing ever shipped (thanks for letting me know??) but over the phone we updated the order to another size, I was told a Sox teddy bear would be thrown in as well to make up for the hassle and once again I was feeling good about things and appreciated the Teddy Bear peace offering.

Fast forward a week and half later after returning from vacation.  Still no package.  I called again - "It's out for delivery."  Fair enough.  I took down the tracking number in case it wasn't delivered by the end of the day.  And wouldn't you know it, that day came and went and no package arrived.  So 2/21 - 20 days later I tracked the package only to find that it was indeed out for delivery...and had been since the 11th.  Yikes.  Frustrated I called Grandstand again.  "We'll call you back with an update."  I never received a call.  At that point, a one star review would have been considered gushing.

Apparently UPS was supposed to call me to let me know the package was indeed lost, but an employee at Grandstand had packaged up my order and drove it over to the UPS store and requested next day delivery.  The girl I spoke with apologized profusely and even sent me a screen shot of the UPS tracking page showing that the new order was already out for deliver as of 4:42 am today.  She reassured me I could call anytime and should immediately if the package does not arrive by 5PM.

It's just a good thing I left plenty of time between my order date and the baby shower these were intended for.  Beacon of preparedness over here.

So all in all, I probably wouldn't order online again and just take the time to go to the store, but everyone I spoke to was really nice and helpful when it came down to making sure I ended up a satisfied customer.  Now let's just hope this damn package arrives today.

Not to sure about the "Limited" part in the store's name. It did not seem at all limited when it came to White Sox merchandise. This somewhat small corner store is filled to the brim with any kind of Sox gear imaginable. From retro to today, you can find it here, I'm"m sure. Also thrown in is a bit of Blackhawks, Bulls, and (unfortunately) Cubs paraphernalia.

You can get authentic game jerseys with your own name stitched on, but. like anywhere, it's going to cost a bit. On average though, everything found in this store is on par, or even a little less than the prices you would pay in the ballpark. One thing this place has, that you will not find at the Cell, though, is a clearance rack! It may be hard to find, and it's only one rack, but the discounts are drastic. I was able to get a 1/2 way to St. Paddy's day warm-up jacket, and a white polo with the black logo, all for just $40. I don't think I could beat that deal anywhere else.

The hours posted show the place closed on Sunday, but if there is a game going on on Sunday, damned sure this place will be open and doing a good business.

White Sox heaven! There is literally so much Sox merchandise that you can't comprehend it. I was blown away when I walked in. License plate holders, flags and beer mugs, oh my!

Yeah some things run higher but I like giving my cash to the ma and pa places rather than the cheesy sporting good stores. They have probably every Sox t-shirt and cap imaginable to mankind. Plus the collection of unique items are unbeatable.

I lucked out and found a clearance priced fitted Sox cap for $15! Pretty awesome considering it was the same exact one I had my eye on at another store for double the price.

I love this place and it's a nice change of pace to see decent Sox merch and not be bombarded with tons of Cubbies crap. I will definitely will be back!

Yes.  Everyone on Yelp knows my love and devotion for the Cubs.  It's true.  I bleed blue.  HOWEVER, this store, has the greatest collection of ALL things sports!

I was amazed by the size, selection, and prices in this store.  Everything you could possibly imagine is in this store!  Water bottles, socks, shirts, jerseys, key chains, knick-knacks, you name it!

It is heavily stocked with Sox merchandise, however, they have a great selection of Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks and Bulls gear too!

I'll be back, even in the off season!

Heaven on Earth for Sox fans like myself. Everything you could ever want and everything you never knew you needed. It's walking distance from the park and it is where in the next few weeks I will be dropping obscene amounts of money on flags, doormats, banners, pennants and all other Sox home decor for my new pad.

If you need a hat or visor, if you can't find it here they don't make it. They also have a great selection of women's apparel (aka sweatshirts that don't go down to my knees) and enough kids/baby clothes to make you want to pop one out and call him Comiskey.

I am currently in a mixed relationship.  I am a White Sox fan while my BF is a Cubs fan.  More often than not I will go with him to some sporting goods store and sit, depressed, while he flips through racks and racks of Cubs gear (some of it really cool looking too), while I am left staring at a couple of cheap, poorly designed, borderline ghetto-looking shirts for my beloved team.  Sensing my distress over this, and knowing I just wanted one thing, just one shirt or hat to be able to wear, he took me the Grandstand.

Wow, how great was this!  Now it was me that had a problem with too much selection and the obligatory Cubs stuff was relegated to a few choices in the back corner!  I got my shirt, finally, and am so pleased I might even wear it to the next Cubs game I am taken to, haha.

    Thanks Grandstand!

Seriously, if you're going to get a Sox fan a gift, GO HERE. Don't even waste your time looking anywhere else.

They have everything Sox--apparel, bottle openers, clocks, frosty mugs, flags, thongs, license plate holders, etc.

The older man, who sits by the front door and greets and thanks you, is too cute.

A round trip drive from Uptown took me an hour.

Greatest Sox store in the city.  They have EVERYTHING you could possibly imagine for a White Sox fan.  Also pretty reasonably priced for a store (you can always find cheaper stuff on the Internet, but it's definitely better than the MLB store and ballpark prices).  They even have other Chicago sports merchandise (Bears and Blackhawks) and they have anything you could possibly imagine with the Sox logo on it.  Jerseys, shirts, hats, outdoor gear, chairs, shoes, bobble heads... everything!

I always go before Sox games just to check the place out and I almost always end up buying something.  Especially on cold days at the very beginning of the season, the Sox hats and gloves come in handy!

Chicago Sox, Cubs, Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks fans...Grandstand has got you covered.  There is so much merch packed in this place its nuts.  Right as you step into the store its quite overwhelming.  You dont know exactly where to begin.  Like a kid in a candystore.

Regardless of what you need the staff here is plenty friendly.  And definitely knowledgeable and helpful.  I, on this certain occasion had my sights set on a black blackhawks jersey.  Replica or authentic?  As if thats even a question...go big or go home!  Luckily they had a blank in my size.  Im not exactly the xxl hockey fan.  Got all my customizing filled out and was quoted at most a 2 week turnaround.

I had put in the order on a wednesday and low and behold..I receive a phone call saturday morning of that same week; "your jersey is ready!"  I was thrilled though I wouldnt be able to pick it up til the following weekend.  Living on the northside and a full week of work..making a trek down to the southside isnt exactly a stop over.  Early birthday present to myself..CHECK!

5 stars for the staff!  The layout is great and everything is always neat, together and easily accessible.
-0.5 : Prices can be beaten.  Dont get me wrong..I love to support local business.  Its places like grand stand that make it a pleasure.  But I guess its the price you pay to be a fan.
-0.5 : The customizing is not in house and has to be sent out.  Yes, they do amazing work.  That is undeniable..and turnaround times are always hit or miss anywhere you go.  But the rate is almost twice the average charge for customizing a jersey.

Im not complaining because this place totally rocks.
Just trying to be a fair 4 star.

If you have children, don't shop here.  Store policy doesn't allow strollers in the store at anytime.  I think it would be perfectly reasonable to have a policy like this at the store during busy times, such as two hours before a Sox game.  I went to the store at noon this past Saturday (there were two other customers in the store, game wasn't until 6 pm) with my nephew in an umbrella stroller and was turned away at the door.  I was told I could carry the baby around while I shopped, but could not bring the stroller in.  This was not an option.  A manager came by to help with the situation and eventually said we could bring the stroller in, but her attitude was less than desirable.  This whole incident just put a real sour taste in my mouth about the store so I left and didn't shop at all.  So please spread the word, if you have a child in a stroller, you're business is not wanted.

It would be interesting to see what the legality of this policy is.  Would a wheelchair bound shopper be turned away?  What about a disabled child in a stroller?  Both a wheel chair and stroller for a disabled child would be wider than the umbrella stroller I was using.  The workers stated this stroller ban was because of insurance purposes.  Just a super weird situation.

As a White Sox-obsessed kid growing up 3 hours from Chicago, Grandstand was always some sort of magical, far-away store that I imagined spending entire days in.

Now that I live in Chicago and can get there fairly-easily, Grandstand has managed to maintain their mystique. As other Yelpers have mentioned, no one can touch Grandstand's inventory. There are items that are literally only available there, as the store has contracts with many manufacturers to create merchandise specifically for the store.

I'm a huge jersey nerd, and Grandstand has a great selection of authentic Sox, Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Hawks jerseys. The majority of lettering is done in-house, and they do it better than their competitors (Triple Threat Sports, I'm looking at you).

Grandstand's biggest strength is their customer service. It's a family-run business that will bend over backwards to help you, just as long as you're not a self-important jerk. I've spent many hours discussing sports with everyone there to the point where I consider them friends.

Prices can be high on some items, but jerseys and hats are fairly consistent with online shops and stores you'll find in the mall. After games, you can expect to wait in line for 5-10 minutes or so, so I always try to make my trips before first pitch.

Forget picking up gear at the ballpark or from MLB's website; just head to Grandstand and you'll find everything you need...and then some.

I needed to get something White Sox for one person on my list and some type of Bears gifts for some other people on the list. I called Grandstand and they were open Sundays in December for Christmas so I cruised over last weekend. The selection of White Sox paraphernalia is extensive. There were a lot of things I wanted for myself, but I practiced some restrain. However, I found perfect gifts for the sports enthusiasts some of which were on clearance.

BEWARE the clearance merchandise is not returnable, exchangeable or anyhitng so if the recipients don't like the gifts be prepared to keep it yourself or re gift.

The price range is from high to low so it can fit all budgets. Also I got a free tee shirt for the amount I spent and it was an offical MLB tee shirt with Crede's name and number on it, which is going to be a birthday gift for an uncle in 2010- what a deal!

Terrible, terrible, terrible place.  A thousand times over, terrible.  This place erked me so bad.  So, I bought an authentic Alexei Ramirez from here as gift but it was too big.  I went back to return for a smaller size but they do not accept returns.  Seriously, then you should a huge sign somewhere and tell each customer before the purchase something for $225.  These people are thieves and should be arrested.

This place stays open really late after Sox games, so head over after the game!

I don't like how you have to check your bags/purses at the door.  Sorry I am not leaving my entire purse with some guy who just puts them on the floor by the front door.  If you don't trust me not to take it in the store, why should I trust you?  Lame.

If you do make it past the big bad "security" guy - this place has TONS of sporting merchandise.  However, WTF are Cubs items doing here??

My husband bought a Sox Jersey for $100.  Pretty sweet.  Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful.

If you're a Chicago sports fan, Grandstand's got you covered! They're a family-run business, and it shows in the service they provide. Stephanie (the owner's daughter) was beyond helpful a couple years ago when I purchased a green White Sox jersey for my beau just a few days before St. Patricks Day. I found their site online, but it seemed like they were updating it so I couldn't place my order through their website. I called and Stephanie helped me over the phone--she gave me multiple options, and in the end I got exactly what I was looking for (even though I didn't know it was even possible before I called), and it was more affordable than I expected! I also wanted to get a hat to match the jersey, but hadn't seen the "ideal" one on their website. When I described to her what I was looking for, she said, "Oh yeah, we have that!". She really knew their inventory well and was so accommodating in all of my requests. I knew I waited to the last minute to purchase a St. Patty's inspired jersey, so I wasn't expecting it to show up in time for my beau to wear it on 3/17. But low and behold, it did! Without me even asking, Stephanie took it upon herself to get the jersey personalized and shipped out the very next day...knowing it would really make someone's day, and it did! It's because of service like that--always going the extra mile--that Grandstand is our go-to place for all of our White Sox gear.

When Stephanie heard we were headed to Chicago to catch a game that summer, she told us to stop by and introduce ourselves...so we did. We were able to chat with her and her mom for a while, and they even suggested a place for us to eat dinner and called to make a reservation for us! We came back a few days later to stock up on some gear before leaving town, and they ended up giving me one of my hats for free--they totally didn't have to do that, but I think it was their way of showing how much they appreciated our business.

Like many other Yelpers have mentioned, they don't only have White Sox stuff--they have sports apparel and memorabilia for all Chicago pro sports teams, and a lot of it. I've never seen a store with a greater selection than Grandstand. They have way more than what you see on their website, so if you're ever in the area, I recommend stopping by. Something they really seem to specialize in are jerseys of the past. I got a red & white 1970s style Sox jersey, and they have tons of others to choose from.

Remember: besides their daily hours, they're always open after every White Sox home game.

Would be five stars, but it can be very pricey. And they dont discount all the older merchandise like other chicago sports stores.

BUT, it has on site parking, accepts the WHITE SOX gift cards, and has a LOT of Sox stuff.

The website(http://www.grandstands...) has more stuff as well as more clearance items.

One of the few local stores to have a DREAMSEAT on display.(http://www.dreamseat.com)

This is THE shop to get all your Sox merchandise. Located about a home run's distance from U.S. Cellular, Grandstand has just about any type of Sox memorabilia you could dream up. On top of that, the store is run by a very friendly staff, and the prices are surprisingly cheap. Also, they have a fair share of Blackhawks gear as well as other MLB teams. They're even diplomatic enough to supply a few Cubs merch. However, the less said about that the better (JK). So forget the high prices at the ballpark and head over to the good folks at Grandstand!

Holy Crap.  The first time I walked into this place was like the first time I walked into Sam's Wine and Liquors.  Definitely a Sox fan's dream.  Especially a North Side Sox fan's dream!!  No more picking through racks of blue and red to find the one black and gray Sox shirt.  This place is all Sox, all the time.  For me, dangerous.  But definitely the only place to go for Sox apparel.  Check it out, and bring your credit card.

This is the absolute best place on earth for White Sox gear.  I am a die-hard Sox fan, but live on the North Side.  Going to Grandstand, and being surrounded by huge amounts of Sox gear of all types, is a real event.  In fact, my friend and I call our trips to Grandstand "going to Mecca".    If you go after a game, be prepared to stand in line for a short time before you get in.  Yes, it's that popular.  A better time to go is a non-game Saturday.  (They have a small parking lot behind the store.)   LOVE IT!

I am a fitted hat fiend, and this is my place to go for Sox caps. All colorways, all styles, and exclusives you won't find anywhere else. If you're looking for other teams, you can find every authentic MLB cap here. The owners are always incredibly nice, even though I get the feeling they aren't too crazy about people like me who are not huge sports fans but just want their caps for fashion purposes. Regardless, I have never had a bad experience here. Helpful staff and a great selection. If you are on the market for a fitted, go here before a mainstream place like Lids.

Grandstand offers an unbeatable selection of White Sox, Bears, Hawks, Bulls, and even Cubs gear.  Its proximity to The Cell has helped Grandstand earn its place in the hearts of White Sox fans everywhere.  They have items to fit every fans' style, whether you are a little girl or a fearsome gangbanger.  They also have some rather unique items for sale, such as a line of White Sox caps with various nation's flags sewn into the side, in lieu of, say, an All-Star or World Series patch.  In typical Bridgeport fashion, the cap with Israel's flag on it had a price tag labeled "Jewish".  I get sort of a "who sent ya?" vibe from some of the staff there.  At least one guy told me a flat out lie when I inquired about a hat they didn't have in stock.  It's okay if he didn't know the answer, but I didn't appreciate him just making things up.  These are annoyances- annoying enough to mention, but not so much to drop Grandstand down to A-OK status.  They are the store for White Sox fans, after all.  At some point in the next year or so I'll ruin the hat I recently bought there, and I'll be happy to give Grandstand my business again.
