When I walked into this store, I was greeted by a very friendly young guy. He cheerfully said hello and asked me how my day was. I thought maybe I had just been teleported somehow to Vancouver, because I rarely experience this type of genuine courtesy in Edmonton.
I was really impressed by the freshness of Good Earth's produce. I've been to produce stores before, and the quality isn't always that great. But Good Earth was different. The Green, yellow, and red peppers were nice looking and vibrant, and the tomatoes were firm and red. They also has some extra items like pasta and salad dressing--the perfect compliments to a veggie meal. I saw a few organic items like pre-washed salads and packaged dried cranberries.
What you'd get here isn't much better or different than what you can find at Safeway, but the prices were fairly reasonable, and I really liked the friendly atmosphere. If I lived downtown, I would definitely come here.
