This is my favorite of the produce stores on Broadway -- and there are a half-dozen stores to chose from!
Quite a few factors helped me settle on this very difficult decision. Quality of produce is obviously a big one -- and Golden Valley tends to have more varieties of plums and apples that I'll find elsewhere. The displays are not as high as Young Brothers, plus I find the general clientele to be nicer.
If you need milk, eggs, or cheese to accompany that roughage, Golden Valley has a respectable offering. Not as good as the additional groceries available at New Apple Farm Market, but a solid mid-range of items.
