Review from Angela L.
North York, ON
My parents wanted to have a good breakfast during our stay in Niagara Falls so they suggested to go to Golden Griddle. I don't really like Golden Griddle since I had a bad experience before, so I went with low expectations.
At first, we completely missed it, but driving back we found it connected to a hotel. There was no parking so we had to park on a side street ($1.50 for 1 hour). When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the friendly wait staff who showed us a table and suggested that we do the breakfast buffet ($10.99 for eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, fruits, home fries, etc). Since we didn't have a lot of time, we opted for the regular breakfast menu. My parents both ordered 3 pancakes with 2 eggs ($5.99 each: Mom got 10 grain pancakes with over medium eggs, Dad got buttermilk pancakes with over easy eggs) while I got 3 blueberry pancakes with blueberry jam ($6.39).
After a good 15 minutes of waiting (which is typical for Golden Griddle), our food finally came and they were definately worth the wait! My pancakes were warm, with just the right amount of blueberries. The blueberry jam was piping hot and it went well with maple syrup. It was like a good overload of blueberries in your mouth. The 10 grain pancakes were okay. If you like the taste of individual grains in your mouth, then it is the pancake for you! The pancakes were not burnt, had a nice brown colour, and they were the size of my hand. The only downfall was the fact that a small middle part of each of my pancakes was not fully cooked.
Overall, it was a good and fulfilling breakfast. This particular Golden Griddle has restored my faith in the restaurant name. It wasn't out-of-this-world, but I would definately go back again the next time I'm in the area and craving buttermilk pancakes. -

I went to this restaurant for breakfast and I was appalled and absolutely outraged at the customer service I was given.
The waiters were rude and insolent, to the point where I've actually taken my time out to write this email.
The restaurant was neither busy nor out of control, yet it took exactly forty minutes just to get a waiter over to us for even so much as a glass of water.
So finally, when we actually called to them in an irritated tone, that's when they actually took us semi-seriously, which is unacceptable.
Moreover, we had to repeat ourselves multiple times all of which they wouldn't respond, and if they did they would say, "I heard you the first time."
Discourteous.
Though I'm sure not every single Golden Griddle is like this, my first experience was disgusting, and I will surely never go again. -

The customer service at this restaurant was terrible, I have never experienced such unkind waitress'
This morning was the first and last of Golden Griddle I will ever go to.
Absolutely terrible.
The only thing that was good about this restaurant was the packaged butter and maple syrup.
