The electronic stores on Yonge Street run the gamut from Future Shop, which is established and comfortable but expensive, to the back of some guy's Hyundai which is cheap, but there is a good chance that anything you buy will be used in a criminal investigation. Golden Electronics falls somewhere in between the two. The store is clean, but not very nicely appointed; the carpet looks as if it would be more at home in cubicle than holding up thousands of dollars of merchandise, but at least there is carpet. The staff is friendly but that simply means that when I cleared my throat to get their attention they didn't scowl at me, which is rarer than you would think. I wouldn't overwhelmingly recommend this store, but I do think that it would be a good store to visit if you are looking for a particular cable that is $15 at Future Shop, but should be $3,99.
