Medium-hot means spicy. Mild means spicy. Extra mild means spicy. Haven't tried the spicy.

I pick up a few dishes on the way home from time to time. The curries are tasty but a bit thin. Would be better if they were a little thicker & creamier I think. I wish places like this would stick to what they do best. And in the case of Go Go that would be the Thai dishes.

The woman behind the counter is always very attentive and friendly & reminds me of Babu from Seinfeld.

For some reason I've never been able to make them understand what I mean by "not too spicy please." Now I just make sure I have lots of water, rice and Tums handy.

Not the most appealing place to sit down though but if you want to support a small business and enjoy some tasty Thai takeout you should go go.

Its not thai, its overpriced Chinese food .. if you can even call it food.  Waited over half an hour for what i thought would take 30 seconds (since everything was premade in front of you.  but, Ordered a veg combo for 16$ which unknowingly needed to be made in the kitchen... 35 minutes later, i received crap.. The salad was just iceberg lettuce (seriously, not even a shred of carrot or anything else), the soup was.. i dont even know what it was.. and the vegetable stirfry... the whole dish prob cost them $3...... it was terrible.  Not worth the extensive wait.

I had to get back to work, so after 15 minutes i asked how long it would take.. they said it was just coming up (implying 2-3 minutes)... I had to wait another 20 minutes at which point i asked for a refund... as soon as I asked for the refund, my food was ready within 10 seconds.    SUCH CRAP!

They have the nerve to call this sh*thole a Thai restaurant?! I'd rather just call it a sh*thole. The food here was absolute crap and the workers were far from helpful. My friend and I came to this dump to get lunch (both having pretty average expectations) and ending up with junk that we paid an arm and a leg for, that was not even good enough to be called "food". They also took HALF AN HOUR for food that should have been prepared before lunch and both of us had to get back to work but it still was not ready!

Don't be in business if you can't handle the rush. DON'T PUT SH*T ON THE MENU IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT PROPERLY AND IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME.

For f*cks sake my salad in the combo was PATHETIC. It consisted of pieces of lettuce that looked as if it were cleaved by a blind bear. If I were eating at the restaurant, I would drag the cook out and point at my salad, screaming at the top of my lungs, "YOU CALL THIS A F*CKING SALAD? WILL YOU F*CKING LOOK AT THIS?!! PLEASE GET THE REST OF THE WORLD TO BELIEVE THIS IS A SALAD BEFORE YOU TELL ME IT'S ONE." ,eiejdgklfjd glsj'd;jskhqwiouoerarghghhhh

Don't get me started with the soup. Goddamn!! Diluted tom yum paste in lots of hot water. MY DOG, WITH CONSIDERABLE HANDICAP COULD PULL THAT OFF AND MAKE IT TASTE HALF DECENT.

This crap was so terrible, that I just had to keep eating to make sure I never spend my hard earned money at terrible places like this again. I've never been this sadistic with bad food before.

In short, I urge anyone who walks by this circus joint of a place to KEEP ON WALKING. Don't even look at it, don't acknowledge it. This place is as heinous and equivalent to a sweat shop that exploits the labor of disabled children.

Somedays you just want lunch, you're in a rush, you couldn't careless about the ambience and really just need a quick bite, and refuse to settle down to the depths of McD's.

Go go curry house is your place on days like this. Don't go here for tasteful art, lighting or an out-of-this-continent Thai experience. It is what it is, cheap and quick fast food Thai.

Unlike Crystal's, my friend and I had empty spring rolls that had but a few bean sprouts to call as stuffing. And the wontons in our soup(included with our meal) was overcooked and falling apart. The meal was, predictable and well, OK.

Won't be rushing back there, unless I was...in a rush and happened to need my Thai curry in go-go rush.

I went back this week to grab a quick dish of Yellow Chicken Curry and was not disappointed. This place might not be a high class restaurant but it is consistent with good food quality.

Also I like the fresh coconut, cut open to drink the juice and/or eat the coconut with a spoon.

Considering the price, location and food altogether I upgrade my previous review and give this restaurant 4 stars.

    Enjoy!

    Cheers

    * Canadian Chinese style Thai food isn't my thing *

Combos with egg rolls and wonton soup at a Thai restaurant?  Oy.....

Tried my standard test dish for Thai restaurants of beef ga prow (Beef with holy basil).

What arrived in my Canadian Chinese style combo was a bowl of wonton soup (WTF?!?!?!), a Chinese style egg roll, rice, and a beef with bell pepper dish that had a spring or two of sweet basil.

The waitress had asked what heat level I wanted for the meal and I said hot.  There was no noticeable chili at all.  Oy.....

Don't think I'll be going back.....

For cheap-ish thai food in a diner-style hole in the wall, this place gets you fed relatively quickly. Granted, I'd never go out of my way to come here, but when a warm bowl of soup and a curry comes a calling, Go Go does the trick, in a way a food court can't.

The lunch combo I had with chicken red curry was okay. No zinging flavours or taste bud explosions, mind you, but there was plenty of food and all of it edible. The wonton soup (with 2 wontons) came first and was a little less than hot, but the broth was tasty. My red chicken curry had a decent amount of chicken and bamboo shoots but the sauce was really watery. And, not that I was counting on a "salad," but a piece of ice burg lettuce, julienned, does not a salad make. Surprisingly the spring roll was fresh and stuffed with a decent amount of filling.

I have been to this place many times and love it. Every time I take away, so cannot comment on the service from the eat-in perspective. The proprietors are always polite and the wait is never too long,
(it's nice to be offered tea or water while I wait).

I've tried most of the all-day combos, they are always taste terrific and are great value. You get plenty of food, often enough for lunch the next day.

Gem for value and taste in downtown location.

Fantastic place for tasty, burning hot Thai curry lunches (and others that are less hot). Great value lunch deals for $7-$12 including curry, rice, soup and other treats. Look out for me on Fridays.

A staple for my co-workers so have been a here a number of times. It's fast and offers decent value but the quality is average at best. It's a fusion of Chinese and Thai and after trying a few dishes, I'd stick with the curry. My recommendation is the chicken yellow curry lunch combo (see photos) with bamboo shoots. With the hit n' miss egg rolls (crispy vs soggy), the bamboo shoots offer the much needed crunchy texture.
