I recently acquired a pooch who unfortunately due to a rough start in life is pretty underweight. I went in search of a better quality food to help her beef up.
The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. They explained several different options and told me the foods they personally recommended. I ended up with a food that my dog can't get enough of - which given I'm trying to plump her up, is a good thing! They also said once she's up to a good weight to come back in they would discuss with me again and help me decide if she should stay on that same food or change to something else. The food, per bag, is more expensive than I would like. However, because it is a higher quality you feed less of it and get more out of it. And really, if it makes poochie healthier and happier...its all worth it!
They don't carry just food, however. They do have a selection of treats, toys, leashes, collars and other care items you may need. Next time I'm in pupster is getting some good-for-her treats!
I also dig the fact that they don't sell any animals in their stores.
This is a great store, right in our own backyards. If you have an animal and want nothing but the best for him/her then go talk to these folks. They'll point you in the right direction and you'll be on your way to a healthier pet!
Oh, and they have a frequent buyer program on their foods...a definite bonus! -

I have two picky cats, one allergic to dye and the other has had crystal issues. This means that they need good food, which Global Pet Foods supplies. There are tonns of items and brands to browse which makes for a fun experience. They have everything!
The staff are knowledgeable and seem to enjoy their work place. Tonight, we also met Pandora the resident cat who enjoyed our presence just as much as we enjoyed hers.
So lucky for my kitties, tonight they received a special gift. Catnip. And boy, are they enjoying it.
Also folks, I have been looking for these rawhide strawberries (yes that's what they look like) for dogs. I know a pooch who loves them but I can't find them anymore. If anyone sees these please let me know! -

Global Pet Foods always has the high-end rabbit food that I buy for my rabbit. It is high in fiber and low in fat, and although it's becoming more popular, it is sometimes hard to find it in other stores (you can never find it in a store like Walmart or Zellers). The staff are very helpful and sweet - they even let me take home food once and call in with my credit card the next day, because they were about to close and I forgot my wallet! They definitely have your pet's needs in mind.
The ONLY downside is closing at 7 earlier in the week. Other than that, they are great and are my go-to store for buying rabbit food. -

My favorite pet store, an excellent selection and it's important to me that they don't sell animals. They will special order things for you and have buy five get the sixith bag of food free! I also get my specialty rabbit food there, the only thing I'd suggest is they take the garbage treats with honey, seeds etc off the shelf.

I find this place has a great selection of higher end quality dog foods. Also the staff I have talked to were very helpful and knowledgeable. Be careful of the store cats they are tigers and can attack.... just kidding..

Global pets specializes in pet food and pet accessories. They offer a large selection of dog food, including natural/holistic food and puppy food, mostly in the extra large bags. An average bag of food costs around $50 but it lasts approximately two months and with certain brands, including Eagle Pack, after you purchase 8 bags, the 9th bag of dog food is free!
Also, the store keeps electronic records of your purchases so if you can't remember what you bought last time, the staff can quickly look it up for you. Definitely a handy feature!
