This is my favourite on-mountain restaurant (it's at the base of the Jersey Cream and Glacier Express chairs). They have the most choice, has the most seating (Roundhouse might have more, but it seems much busier). I've been on the mountain almost 200 days this season (2009/10) and I think I've eaten here on half of them and I'm only starting to get bored of the food now. Good thing the season is almost over! 8^0
The choices include pizza/pasta, udon/stirfry, burgers/fries, soups/chili, loaded baked potatoes, a fresh sandwich bar and the usual pre-packaged fare. There's also a great coffee bar that also has wine, beer and some desserts.
When the weather gets warmer, the patio is a great place to get some sun and watch the skiers/boarders. One warning, be aware of your food, because the whisky jacks and crows/ravens are pretty bold and will take food from you if you're not looking!
ps. As of now (5.18.10) you will be able to check-in on your mobile device as the location has been updated to be on-mountain! :^) -

I liked this lodge because I can always find a seat! Upstairs gets crowded but make the trip downstairs, I found a seat every single time. You get a wide range of food selections. Even though I had the choice to eat from the variety of food I ended up eating poutine most of the time. It was really good and really simple. Nothing fancy about it, just fries, gravy, and cheese curd. What I really liked were the fries. It didn't get soggy. Well it eventually did but usually fries get soggy really fast if it was submerged in gravy, these didn't.
Great place to hangout and close to lift. -

This place has tonnes of variety to accomodate all tastebuds - deli, pizza, burger, asian, and more. Perfect place for lunch if you're on the nearby slopes.
This is the second time I've been to Glacier Creek Lodge and I've continued to be happy. I ordered a Montreal Smoked Meat on Spinach Wrap at the made-to order deli. They offer about 7 different sauces, but I selected chipotle mayo and dijon mustard. There are also many additional toppings - hot peppers, cucumbers, olives, pickles, sprouts, onions, and topped it off with the usual salt and pepper. The wrap had a nice kick to it and was nice and juicy! YUM!
I always get my usual Happy Planet to Drink and decieded to get Banana Bread as well. Wish there was more banana taste to it but at least there were chocoalte chunks!
Alcohol is also available if interested. Lots of seating, both inside and out. -

I was so angry. It wasn't until half the season was over with that a friend of mine took me to Glacier Creek. Before then i had just eaten at Rendezvous. It's not that I didn't pass Glacier Creek the multiple times a day I would take the Jersey lift (my favorite runs are off Jersey Cream). No, it just didn't occur to me to step inside the obviously nicer building.
When I finally did enter the massive eatery, I was overwhelmed. For the large mountain restaurants, this is by far the best. Fresh wraps, made to order salads, great daily specials. The list goes on. The building newer than Roundhouse and Rendezvous and so it's cleaner and brighter. The people who come here seem nicer too. Maybe it's because no super easy runs go past here.
I cannot recount the times that my friends and I would grab a jug or two of Kokanee and take a break on the patio watching all the people coming down the four slopes the converge at this spot.
Once the Peak-to-Peak chair opens there will be no excuse to eat anywhere but here....or Crystal Hut, but that's a different review.Listed in: Whistler Eats, Dual Mountain Pub Crawl
