    I like the store.

Whether or not I find anything I want to buy, is another story. Some of their stuff is nice, some of it makes you think of stuff you can buy at a hippie flea market.

There were a few nice pieces, but (obviously) the ones I liked, were $300!!!!!! Look, I understand it's cute and it's well-made, but Girl Friday is not a store where I'd want to drop more than $150 on a dress at full price, and I'd probably wait for a sale.

Still, not a bad place to check out. They have some cute things.

Girl Friday is like getting to know someone.. First date, fantastic, both parties are on their A game... Second date, perhaps maybe not so intriguing, third date, too comfortable... 4th date.. either break up or make the effort... I guess what I'm trying to say is that Girl Friday is hit or miss.

Some days i walk in and their inventory is incredible and I could buy up the whole store.. next few times I go, there is nothing appealing.. and just when I think I should give up on them, I find a hidden gem (perhaps a personality trait I didn't know existed.. just trying to tie it back into my opening comment)

The prices sometimes don't match the wardrobe. The prices always seem a bit steeper for what the product is. I will say however that the staff that work there are always remarkable. They are friendly without being over bearing and offer advice only when asked. (there's nothing worse than having someone say that you look incredible in a pair of jeans and all you see is muffin top)

I say don't give up on this place if you don't find anything you like.. give it the good old baseball rule.. 3 strikes.. I think you will find what you are looking for.... eventually.

This shop, and the sister store on College, are both lovely boutiques! I always stop in to browse, the selection changes all the time, and since there's usually only a few of each size there, you have to get there quick for things that you like! Definitely ask if you don't see our size, they are really good about calling the other store to see if they might have it. Love that they have Soia & Kyo coats, just bought a new one that I LOVE on Boxing Day - 50% off! Hats, scarves and mitts were 50% off too, so got fully kitted out for the winter. Awesome deal! Definitely take the time to stop by here, there's always cute things!

I'm tired of saying something clever every time I write a review.  Isn't it enough to say you really like the store because it has cheap bags and dresses and the owner is lovely?  I guess not...

I bought a really cute dress there and it looked good on me both in the store - which is small and does NOT have slanted mirrors - and at home,  This fact my friends is BIG and rare, I may add.  And another rare little moment was the (ahem) strength of character the sales lady exhibited when I tried on another item there.  She was tactful but wouldn't let me buy it.  And when someone works on commission and does not allow you to purchase their wares, there are two likely scenarios:
    1. She wants to buy the thing herself
    2. She is being honest
By the process of deduction (She was smaller than me, DAMN), I inferred that the lady was actually a high quality store representative living by the sometimes unfair (and often just plain impossible to live by) aphorism: Honesty is the best policy.

Keeping it short and sweet much like the store:

    - they seem to carry only one of every size (S, M, L) which makes the selection all the more unique
    - despite their small size they have a great selection (perhaps due to the fact that they only carry one of every size and therefore have more space left on the rack)
    - seem to be quality garments
    - staff are super nice

I often find myself browsing around in Girl Friday, it's funky and fabulous.

I find myself more and more often drawn to small stores with a smaller selection, rather than larger stores. Maybe it's because I'm lazy, but I have come to appreciate the fact that chances are the small store will not have room for shitty merchandise and only displays the best. This is true of Girl Friday. I bought a Soya & Kyo winter coat there last year (on sale!) and the staff were friendly and helpful, advising me of the right fit for a down parka. I bought a purse there a couple months ago that looks much more expensive than it actually was, also on sale.

Don't be swayed by a couple pricey items, reasonable gems can be found!

Girl Friday is fabulous. Great clothes, decent prices, great staff and cute store. What really sold me on this store was as I was about to buy my Soia & Kyo coat, the sales girl told me to wait a week because they were having a coat-buying party and I could get 15% off and drink free champagne!

The party was cute and fun, S&K sales reps were there to help answer questions about the coats and different styles, and there WAS free champagne! I got to order a brand new coat and as soon as it came in, they called me to pick it up. And I had a wonderful new coat for cheap.

This store is one of the better (and more affordable) ones on the Queen West strip. It's super busy on weekends but well worth a look!

This is for SURE one of my fav stores in Toronto.  Their stuff is youthful, attractive, well made, and very cool.  I always buy my Soia & Kiyo coats here, and have had great luck with dresses and tops as well.  The girls that work here are really fun, and very helpful.

Not everything here is expensive, although a few items are a bit dear - it all depends on what you're looking for.  They do have a second location on College, so if they don't have your size at Queen, they will call the other store and hold it for you.  Lovely!

I found an adorable dress here that I bought as a birthday treat for myself.  The very nice sales girl who helped out thanked me for buying it since it was the size that fit her and she was going to buy it for herself if no one else did, but couldn't really justify the expense.  Temptation gone!  I was glad to take it away from her.  And I love finding unique clothing items and supporting small businesses, so I left feeling very pleased.

I liked that they had a selection of Dish Jeans as well.  I tried some on, but didn't take any home, but it is a brand I find fits me well (certain styles) and they weren't only carrying skinny jeans, which seem to be the only style available in most shops.  And I definitely don't do skinny jeans.  Also, they had clothes that weren't just made for the thin folks out there.  Thanks for having an array!

Girl Friday is a great store to have a dress made, pick up a cute pair of shoes, or choose from their cute selection of dresses. I didn't want my bridesmaids to look like matchy matchy cupcakes, so I opted for dresses from Girl Friday, black and cute a-line party dresses. The prices are extraordinarily reasonable for ordered dresses, the only drawback is that they don't do alterations. I loved the service my gals got at Girl Friday, and they looked mighty snazzy on the day, too.

lovely selection of dresses, but very few extra small sizes, Fell in love with a dress but the extra small was on the manniquin and the clerk infromed me that she was unable to remove it from the window for me to try on. She did offer to call the second store, but they didn't have it. I find they have very few extra smalls and resent the one they did have to remain on the manniquin for a unspecific date.. worse she pretended the small actual fit. Not customer service!

Alright, I like to buy clothes for my wife, but the usual offerings in malls and so on are just getting pointless.  So, just before Christmas, we took a quick trip to Girl Friday.  She loved the clothes, though they are a bit more expensive.  She will not, I am sure, be seeing someone else wearing the super cool dress she bought.  The staff were really helpful and the dogs were quite cute and friendly.  I think they were just visiting.  I suppose I can't say much more about a clothing store.
