When I make my bi-annual trip to Daiso, I always stop by Giordano. They have really good quality basics if you know what you're looking for, like t-shirts, ribbed tanks, skinny jeans, etc. They have a wide selection of colors for everything, and they also have a dose of the that HK style for those feeling adventurous. But basically I like the minimalist style of most of their clothing. The staff is friendly and helpful, but not too pushy. Giordano rounds out my Aberdeen shopping experience so that I'm not just making an in-and-out trip to Daiso!

I visited Hong Kong in 1999 and the whole time I just shopped. At the shopping centers, I kept seeing the same chain stores over and over again: Bossini, G2000, and Giordano. Throughout the duration of that vacation I loved browsing and shopping through these stores even though its the same style of clothing over and over again.
So imagine my excitement when I saw a Giordano inside Aberdeen Centre... I was just enthusiastic. I like their style -- "Casual-Casual to Dressed Up Casual" and it brought back very fond memories of that particular vacation.
Every time I'm at Aberdeen, I always stop by with a sense of optimism and cheerfulness. But after several trips and several tries, I always leave the store with a feeling of ambivalence. I like the clothing, but unfortunately the designs are slightly generic (I can get it elsewhere for cheaper) and the quality of the clothing is questionable (and the material doesn't feel as sturdy as the price would imply).
Maybe I should stop trying to recreate a vacation in Hong Kong when I go to Vancouver.Listed in: C-A-N-A-D-A
