We have a hard time finding good coffee in LA for the reasons below.

    1. We usually need to be where we're going early, 7am is typical.
    2. We're spoiled SF snobs who have high expectations when it comes to our americanos & lattes (said with pinky stiffly raised).

This place is quite unassuming from the outside, it has no fancy decor or hip attitude, but this is what I can tell you:

    1. The coffee is smooth
    2. The milk in the latte is never over steamed
    3. The barista is friendly
    4. They're open early
    5. We've never had to wait in a line
    6. The egg sandwich that we got to go was killer.

Not bad indeed.  I was just in town for a little bit and needed a good casual place for breakfast.  Yelp came through with a recommendation for Ginos.  The staff was really nice.

Best mocha I've had in a while AND it was my first one with a coffee leaf in it!

I ordered the Florentine omelet, yum yum yum.

The only weird thing is that bathroom.  You have to go out, next door to the salon, and through to the back since I guess they share.

Friendly service, but I'm never coming back.

I go to coffee shops to work. I need relatively unobtrusive background noise and plentiful outlets. This is not really the place to go for that. They have enough outlets but the noise at 8am on a Sunday drove me insane. The top 40 playlist was way too loud. The kitchen had its own loud music, making it all much worse. I put up with it for about an hour, but then a screaming toddler had me rushing out the door.

I was excited when someone posted they were from N Cal/SF, and said  this coffee was amazing

    NOT--coffee was typical bland coffee.

Juice was amazing, sandwich pretty darn good.

    Whole point was coffee----no bueno.

    Nice server, cashier

I like this place .Go there , they have a very large menu, very nice, organic , fresh , .
Get away of the same tacos and re fried stuff across the street  and try something more sophisticated,
Ill put 4 stars just because they also have a big sign for dinner but they close so early that I can not make it ever.
But I think is a great place!!

Not only do they have the best lattes around, their food menu is worth checking out. I like most of their breakfast and lunch items but what really suprised me was their dinner menu. I ate dinner here a few days ago and I have never had a better Frutti de Mare. My favorite pasta dish perfected. They are only open until 6 right now because of a lack of interest in dinner. I believe they are going to start opening again for dinner to stop by!

Definitely a neighborhood place that I wouldn't mind coming back to again and again! ^.^

Their banana latte (recommended by a friend, and for a good reason!) is YUMM! I definitely would recommend their espresso choices; coffee art is always a plus in my book. I'm not too keen on their smoothies though; I tried the tomatillo one, and it was just meh to me :/

In addition to their awesome coffee, their paninis are quite tasty too :) it comes with a side salad, and I finished every last bite!

They have breakfast menu items too, which I haven't tried, but looks quite promising.

OH YEA, there's a big dip in the road when you turn into their small parking lot out front and my friend scraped the bottom of her car on it, so park in the neighborhood around the area! Walking does a person good :)

Let's chat for a bit about latte art. In the coffee community, latte art is of great debate. Some say it doesn't add anything to the coffee; you can have delicious espresso, perfectly steamed milk, and no design on top. Similarly, you can have hideous espresso, burned milk, and a delightful rosetta masking it all.

In my opinion, latte art is essential. Why? It shows you care. If you take the time to learn something which takes such finesse as topping coffee with a beautiful design, you must care about what you're serving. It honors the coffee, it delights your customer. Geo's is a prime example of this care. They're no Intelligentsia, they're no Espresso Cielo, but what they are is exactly what a local, friendly cafe should be. They're the reason people are stopping and taking coffee seriously. They're the reason specialty coffee can exist. For it to be so accessible, served simply with pride and a smile, is something that makes this professional barista positively glow with joy.

I literally have nothing bad to say about Geo's.

What an excellent much-needed addition to the neighborhood!
Surrounded by some of the best mexican food, Geo's adds some serious diversity to the block by offering a delicious assortment of panini's, pasta, salads and fresh squeezed vegetable juice. They have a great Breakfast menu as well. For lunch I've tried the chicken pomodori panini, the quinoa and arugula salad, and a carrot, beet celery, ginger juice...yum on each item! I can't wait to try more, because everything is fresh and cooked with care.

Came here on a Groupon NOW deal, and needing an afternoon pick-me-up.  I would've never come across this place had it not been for the deal.  The prices are already very reasonable so I felt like a cheapo using the deal, but ah well. I'll definitely be back to support them.

There are about 3-4 super tight parking spots in front of the building, but plenty of street parking.  Don't be lazy people.  After a muffin and mocha you could use a stroll.

Upon walking in, I was surprised by how small the place was. Like, teeny-tiny.  It's long but narrow, (get your mind out of the gutters) with 6 round tables (12 seats total). However, Rene the barista told me that they're expanding next door! Which will be awe-some. It'll be finished in about a month, and I imagine it'll be a great study/work spot. For all you writers out there, this will be a great place to do your thing. There's free wifi and outlets around.

Rene made me the best banana latte ever... with a cute little bird design on it. I said I don't like it too sweet, and he said he'd make it perfect for me.  He fulfilled on that - just a slight hint of banana aroma in my latte...mmmm.. I couldn't be happier.

I am curious to try their sandwiches next time - $6-9.
    Breakfast items $3.5-4.
    Their coffees are $1.75-3.75.
All very reasonable in my opinion.

Last but not least, loving the tunes in here! *doosh doosh doosh*

I'm enjoying my Sweet Heart Latte in this small inconspicuous shop. I've even had lunch right across the street and I didn't even see it. Took advantage of a $2 for $4 Groupon deal, otherwise I never would have found it.

My latte's special ingredient is condensed milk, but it could have used more of it. The barista was friendly, but unfortunately by default he put my coffee in a to-go cup... still made foam art, but then put on the lid, which defeats the purpose, no?

Ambiance wise, it's hard to call this place cozy... no couches or anywhere to relax, just standard bistro tables and chairs. Not to mention being right at the intersection of two major streets.

Parking is tight... I'm going to park on the street next time, because my SUV stuck out into the sidewalk. Now I'm looking at a Jetta that blocked my door.... not it's fault though, we're both parked between the lines.

If the WiFi is off, ask them to turn it back on.

I'll come back once in a while for sure.

I live in the neighborhood and been coming to this friendly cafe shop for a while, today I noticed that they had a sticker on the window that read "People love us on Yelp" or something like that. I felt bad because I am a yelper and had not given my opinion to this place yet. I took it for granted that it was just a coffee place! and forgot the perfect Sunday mornings i spend here, either talking to regulars inside or alone with my tiny dog when I bring him.
I am from Latin America, and the lattes are part of my rituals, the latte with soy milk here is the best! I always have it with the oatmeal cookie, and as soon as they open next door, I am sure I will add to my plate some of their specialties.
Yes parking is bad, to many little businesses around and not enough parking for all of them.
Prices are not cheap, but the quality is better than the popular chain coffee shops.

    Pros:

    -Great service
-Great coffee, organic btw!  I had the Caramel Latte and it had the perfect balance of milk and sweetness with non-bland foam.
    -Free wifi

    Cons:

-The parking is a bit tricky since you drive head in and back out onto the street next to an intersection!
-For food I had the Ham sandwich which came with a salad.  While it was satisfying and did it's job I felt it was very overpriced.  It's a Ham sandwich!

Pardon my reliance on stereotypes but when a coffee shop is next door to "Tacomiendo" and across the street from "Discoteca y Licoreria La Mexicana" I don't expect great things. Especially when its name includes "Organic."

    Here's what I got:

    1. Quick, friendly service.
    2. An incredibly clean interior with a kind of cool New Mexico adobe vibe.
    3. Great, organic coffee.
    4. As another reviewer pointed out there is free speedy wifi.

    Great breakfast sandwiches!

Stopped by because it was half a mile away from my friend's apartment where I was staying. I was debating between trying this place or Coffee Tomo on Sawtelle and I'm sure glad it was sunny out that I decided to walk instead of drive.
Ordered the banana latte with soy per other Yelper's recommendations and it was AMAZING! I generally drink coffee straight (as lattes are too sweet) but I asked the barista to make it less sweet since I was craving some latte art. Alas, no latte art was present but the deliciousness of the banana latte made up for it 100-fold. Me and the BF also shared the chicken pesto panini and can you say yummers? It was chock-full of pesto flavor, juicy chicken, spinach on lightly toasted rustic bread. Even the mixed spring salad was delicious! Everyone should stop by this neighborhood gem! It's so unassuming and kind of in the middle of a 4 store strip off of Inglewood and Culver but it was the best coffee experience I've had so far in LA - right up there with Urth Cafe and definitely a lot cheaper and less of a wait!!!

One word: spectacular!!!   Understated gem in the neighborhood.  I'm almost afraid to share how good this place is.   The organic coffee is the best I've had anywhere: smooth and flavorful.  The pasta carbonara was also better than I expected.  Real restaurant quality: gourmet pasta.  I'll definitely be back to try all of it.  Don't hesitate.   It's rare to find a budding star of an eatery in this town.

I needed a place to kill time and study - plus I was super hungry. I went on my trusty Yelp app and saw Geo's was highly rated. I am so glad I tried it. It's a small place that you might not find just cruising around - but it is a fabulous coffee shop/restaurant. The food is fantastic! I've been twice now - the first time I had the Arugula and Quinoa salad and the second time I went for breakfast and had the Tomato and Avocado omelet. Both were so good when I couldn't finish them I took them home with me - super delicious!

The food in and of itself is enough to keep me coming back - but on top of tasty treats the service is amazing (it feels like real genuine customer service), the food and drinks are inexpensive and you get so much. And there is free wi-fi.

After going twice I definitely give this place 5 stars - I will be back!

Geo's is my sweet neighborhood cafe... I love it. Delicious lattes (you MUST try their banana latte, to die for. Vanilla and Earl Gray lattes are amazing too!) Coffee art. Free wifi. And great service. Rene and Patricia are so friendly! I tutor a high school kid here every Sunday so it's become my own special ritual to come each weekend, order a latte, sit outside, and enjoy the morning in a lovely stupor. Ask for a patron stamp card as well: buy 9 coffees and get the 10th free. Definitely one of Culver's best kept secrets!

I work on a desolate stretch of Culver, and was thrilled to find any coffee shops that didn't require a trek to Lincoln. I would go here even if it did. Great service (even when I accidentally dumped a full, hot latte all over the counter) and good coffee & espresso drinks. Prices are typical for coffee in a post-Starbucks world.  Haven't tried the food yet, but I will. Only downside is backing out of the tiny lot directly onto Inglewood (almost don't need caffeine after that adrenaline jolt).

    Ordered 2 things:
Cafe Au Lait Vanilla and a Double shot of espresso.  Total: 4.47

Aside from how you're not getting ripped off... The quality is great.  The Cafe was for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  They make it on the lighter side and will give you additional coffee if you like it stronger.  The foam atop my Cafe was good.  I usually hate foam and request none.  I forgot to ask but it was kinda delicious so I will definitely forget to request no foam from this place.  There were real vanilla bean bits in my drink.  Just enough of the Vanilla taste.

My friend will probably not yelp this so as for his espresso:  "It's pretty good.  Not as sweet as _____ but still really good."  He lives down the block from this place so I'm thinking they now have a regular.  Plus, it's a dollar or so cheaper than places like Starbucks for his fix.

Located in a mini mini strip plaza that has 8 parking spots for 5 different store-fronts.  Not the easiest access for those that need to drive.  Bring a friend, make em wait in the car in the alley.

Seems like a great place to study.  WiFi.  6 tables or so.  Not sure how busy it gets.  Went there at 6:45pm on a Sunday.  Empty.

Yay! This place has gotten even better! They have doubled...no tripled... their eating/sitting area by renting the place next door!  There is also great hip-hop/oldies playing which is a nice change from the usual hipster scene that accompanies most coffeeshops.

I love that everytime I come here there are regulars who chit-chat with the barista. This is place is so much more comfortable now that there is more room to spread out. And there is now more seating outside too! Great coffeeshop! I'm so glad I found it for when I'm visiting La-La Land.

i LOVE this coffee shop!! I have to admit its not in the best area of town, and also parking can be a PAIN, but this is definitely by a noticeable margin the best cup of coffee I've had in a while...

I got the Banana/Vanilla Latté http://www.yelp.com/bi... and that was AMAZING!!

I also wanted a pastry and noticed they didn't have all that huge of a selection, but asked what they would recommend and he pointed me to a filled croissant type pastry filled with half sweet cheese / half chocolate. http://www.yelp.com/bi... It was also very very tasty and went perfect with my coffee.

I first came to try the incredible quality of foam atop their cappuccino's that I read about on yelp.

    Success!

Also discovered that they serve great espresso based drinks with all the frills, flavored syrups and soy milk options that a starbucks/coffee bean/pete's whatever does.  So you can get a version of your frappuccino here if you want.

They also have some cafe style sandwiches.

Now, I consistently get a cafe latte on a colder day or an iced vanilla latte on a hot day.

Also filled out all 10 of my stamps on my frequent coffee card here and am working on my second.

The place has a nice flat screen TV and free wifi, but is very small.  There are about 5 small tables or so, but I never see more than one or two of them occupied at a time.

You'll likely get the same barista serving you every time (and he is very good at what he does).

This is a great little coffee joint in the middle-of-nowhere Culver City.  It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall cafe with only four little cafe tables and eight chairs inside (two tables and four chairs outside); but the cappuccino is great.  They know how to steam the milk here.  The foam is seriously yummy.

They have organic coffee and great milk-foam and who can complain about free WiFi?!  It's a great place to spend a few hours working alone on a computer.  They also have excellent loose-leaf teas, some yummy-looking pastries, and a respectable sandwich menu!

    Gio's is worth checkin' out!

(The only reason they're not gettin' five stars is because they let my espresso shot sit too long.)

I hate to write this update. The sandwiches are still great, the banana latte still tasty but Rene, barista extraordinaire has left and with him the amazing foam/cappuccinos.
I guess he didn't have time to teach the new people the technique but all you get is average foam now. Makes me a sad one :(

I'm writing this as I sit at Geo's using their free and super speedy wifi. I've been coming here few times because its a nice walk from my house and their coffee tastes a million times better than the chain stores or even other indy shops in the neighborhood. I saw a La Mill box in the back but don't know if they use their beans. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and they can pour some awesome drinks. Best foam I had in a while!
I tried one of their sandwiches today and I have to admit its one of the best sandwiches anywhere. Ingredients taste absolutely fresh and of highest quality. Most times a sandwich works or dies because of the bread. This one most definitely works! The bread has a nice crunch on the outside and soft inside. I will come for more for sure.
The prices are very reasonable as well, below Coffee bean prices for sure.
As mentioned in other reviews they have expanded to next door and this gives it a lot more room to just hang out and chill.
They only minor drawback is the parking lot which can get a bit tricky to get in and out. (hahaha I'm laughing at some poor soul struggling with it right now). Best to park on Culver blvd or if you do pick up stop in the back/side alley and if you live in the neighborhood walk or ride bike there.
No matter how, get here and give these guys your business, they deserve it and you wont be disappointed

DISAPPOINTING: Dessert selection was a bit skimpy, but maybe it was because we came in at the wrong time?

Its a quaint little neighborhood coffee shop, a great alternative to mega-chain Starbucks.  Its not really a place to lounge or read or have a good conversation, more of a get-in, get-out coffee shop.  But the teas are good, and the staff is nice. Support the local economy!

After a hike in Culver City I needed a place to chill, get some work done, have a snack and a delicious latte. This is a cute cafe near the Inglewood Blvd and Culver St intersection. The service is good, very friendly. My friend ordered the banana latte which is said was, "the bomb", and I had the earl grey latte which was pretty spectacular! Then I ordered the Vegetarian Grilled Bell Pepper which was also delicious. The atmosphere in the cafe is very nice and clean. I highly recommend it as a place to just chill with a friend on a sunday afternoon.

whenever i get a perfect cup of coffee, i give an involuntary squeal of delight after my first sip ... this coffee shop has caused more embarrassing moments of public squealing than any coffee shop ive tried.

im a lac-tard, so i have to stick to the soy coffee drinks (my vice is a soy vanilla latte with just a little bit of vanilla) and they never disappoint. everyone i bring here always loves the coffee and sandwiches as well.

overall: coffee has a great flavor, they have fantastic service, and their breakfast croissant sandwiches are to DIE for. bacon, ham, cheese, and avocado... grilled inside a toasty little croissant with a delightful cup of coffee??? YES PLEASE

my friend and i were quickly searching for a tea house that was opened past 7 pm. we came across this one through yelp and noticed the great reviews, and since we'd planned on attending an art show in the area, decided upon the place.

i think we were disappointed with the location, expecting it to be something a lot like the swanky tea houses in l.a., but didn't want to miss out on the 5-star service so we went on in anyway. we parked down a neighborhood street, because the lot was small and full at the time.

the place is very small and empty, and there were hardly any desserts or food left so we decided to go for tea only. chatted with the barista orlando, who was really friendly and flirtatious. i ordered an earl grey while my friend chose the moroccan mint chai latte, and upon tasting her drink, i immediately regretted my decision! note to self (everyone): get the moroccan mint chai latte! i had skimmed through the yelp reviews and even seen it being recommended.

next time, i would come back at an earlier hour, when the food is stocked and the place isn't so empty, and order something less common.

i think this place is chill. i swear i thought this place was on yelp for a while to come and find only three reviews. i usually come he are or pass by it when i come home from school or work on the busby)

it is a tiny place with great tea. the owner is is pretty cool  and made a fine cup of tea. Thank you good sir. he hooked it up. i give him mad props for building it there so the locals can get there food or drink. i have a spot in my heart for those who build up the community by bringing up something different.
