Truly amazing craftsmanship's when you walk in the doors or Geddes. Located on Agricola since established in 1982 it has its original location. I must say I have never seen furniture so beautiful honestly if I owned one I would ask that you eat on the floor.
Taking design from 18 & 19th century contemporary style and mastering tables, end tables, chests just to name a few pieces. My favourite wood in the world is a deep rich mahogany and boy was my table there. My sister took me as she was looking for dining room table for her BB she at least narrowed it down to three so who knows.
Please go into this location if you are ever in the area and just see the fabulous creations that generations of true love for the trade has created. -

Aromas of varnish and wood overwhelm my nostrils, but its all good. Stepping into Geddes is like getting lost in the deep, dark forest. However, instead of trees, wood is sculpted into refined decadence, otherwise classified as furniture.
Selection is impeccably crafted. Geddes specializes in custom made pieces, so feel free to walk in with a concept and leave it to the crafters. The work is displayed on two levels; take a few steps down to a dowdy basement of exposed brick and low ceilings- watch your head. But the room is lit with tables, chairs, cabinets, dressers made of rich wood and vision. There is a delicate glory in each and every piece.
A lengthened table to sit more than 10? I think of my family and the possibility of fitting at one table with ease. (There are 7 of us, plus significant others-- tight fit!) Each piece embraces a vintage, one of a kind esthetic, and its all an obvious swoon.
Gorgeous furniture. Custom Crafted. If you are looking for something special, this is a space that speaks for itself. -

The truth is, it was a miserable day and I was chilled from the blustery winds freezing my face. So I popped in to Geddes Furniture even though I wasn't there to actually buy any furniture. That said, I discovered a furniture heaven.
Beautiful hand crafted dining room sets in clean lines, living room and bedroom furniture that all belong in a museum. All the pieces are gorgeous - I particularly can't wait to have a dining room large enough for a stunning shaker style table custom made in Black Cherry that can expand to seat 20.
Geddes has been around since 1982 and I understand why. The quality is ...well , I can't find a word good enough to describe it. And every Friday evening they showcase their latest inventory, polished and shone to perfection.
The furniture is a bit pricey, but after all, it's custom build, and will be enjoyed by you and yours for a very long time. -

Geddes is the place to go when you want to dream of that special home with one of a kind furnishings.
I did not go in here to buy, not at that point in life yet. However, I can still go in there to admire some of the nicest furniture in the city.
Quality is what you will get here! -

Raw wooden planks, laminate flooring and exposed piping unite in this small, dark North End space. I was greeted by a jolly fellow as soon as I stepped from the sun drenched side walk into the shop. I learned that on Friday nights they set the shop up to create showroom displays, signaling the reason for a slightly disheveled space.
I was offered assistance but opted to peruse. Most of the woods used in this shop are rich and glorious, from mahogany to cherry wood, the tone set is one of superior quality and high end natural materials.
Had I been in the market for a huge board room table, today I would have made my purchase. There was an impressive number at Geddes that I would bet could seat 20 or more people - perfect for extravagant dinner parties.
This boutique furniture shop is a must visit if you're looking to design your own home furnishings. Not only do they sell a few different designers, they also carry their own wares and can work with you on one of a kind creations.
