Review from Ben B.
A lovely little slice of wine country in the Anapolis Valley!
Just another set of red barns from a distance, you could easily drive by without realizing that the insides are packed with gorgeous local wines, modern interior design, and friendly staff more than happy to help you learn more about Nova Scotian wines.
We popped in for a quick visit today to get a taste of the Tidal Bay, the province's official wine varietal thanks to a coalition of Valley wineries who have banded together to each produce their own take on this (up to) five grape blend. They happily poured us a glass, gave us some comparative notes for when we track down the other vineyards (as in, 'here are some of the differences you'll notice', not 'we're better than all the others'), and sent us on our merry way.
The Seyval is consistently my favourite from their selection but you should definitely do some tasting to find your own. And when you pick up a bottle for when you get home, be sure to ask for recommendations from their pairing sauces and honeys provided by local farms!
