Gary's Kitchen serves Chinese food and Western food. I believe it's the only Chinese restaurant of all of Tofino. This restaurant is popular with the locals. A lot of First Nation artwork on the wall of the restaurant will make you think this isn't a Chinese restaurant, but the owner of this restaurant is Chinese. Staff at this restaurant are friendly too. When I was eating at this restaurant, about a quarter of the people were eating Western food like burgers and fries and steak. The rest were eating Chinese food. The Chinese food at this restaurant tasted a bit Westernized, but there are some very West Coast items on this menu not found at other Chinese food restaurant in Vancouver. I had halibut with vegetables stir fry. It was my favourite dish.
