An oasis tucked next to a chocolate shop with the raddest doorman ever.
Fat Cat.
You da kitty!
So... Air plants eh?
I was a little sceptical at first. I mean how the hell do these things survive? You can practically throw them on a shelf and they'll happily eek out an existence. Just soak em an hour a week and voila. Easiest greenery ever!
A month later and we've got a spikey spiney jungle theme goin on in our living room. They appear to be alive. But who really knows? They're still green so I figure everything is still five star awesome. -

Garden Party Flowers is my go-to florist. They have super fresh flowers, a great space, and most importantly, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I love all their unique and classic arrangements, especially the ones with my favourite flower - the peony. Their flower deliveries are always on-time and super fast (and they won't leave your flowers out in the rain on the sun deck if your recipient isn't home without asking first - yes that has happened to me before). I was in a bind once and really needed my order to be delivered instead of picked up. I only gave them an hour's notice, but they didn't hesitate. Their service is amazing!!
Their posey-tying tutorials are fun - highly recommend.
Give Garden Party Flowers a call if you haven't already! -

Flowers have never been easy for me. As the greenest of green thumbs, I'd always worry about saying the wrong things. With Garden Party Flowers? Absolute cake.
I've dealt with most of Garden Party's staff, and every one of them has given me a level of careful attention that makes me feel like family. You're not just buying flowers - you're buying an experience. Each arrangement has been custom-built for each of my recipients. And what florists write follow-up emails? None - except Garden Party Flowers.
The arrangements are ALWAYS beautiful and get talked about weeks after they are delivered. The customer service is mind-blowing; they've even handwritten a card for me once.
I don't care if I have to drive across town to get to Garden Party Flowers (and I often do). I'm always received with open arms and leave with a gift I'm very proud of. -

Modern, modern, modern! No boring arrangements here. I found this place through Groupon and the flowers that they made for me were just stunning. Amy was wonderful to deal with. I've gone back a few more times after using my Groupons. If you need to impress a certain special someone, get your flowers here.

Would it be too bold to say Garden Party is the superhero of my florist world?
Let me count the ways:
1. Posies for a Social Bites brunch that made beautiful centrepieces.
2. Same day hand delivery of a terrarium for a birthday gift (and tweeting me to tell me how thrilled my cousin was --service!)
3. Helping me create 3 rad airplant arrangements with as much moss, branches, and twine as i could use -- for life. All with gentle and patient service as I hummed and hawed about what to do.
How can I not be a little thrilled?
I was a little sad that they had moved from their retail street location in Kits. That was until I saw their huge new space - with a photography studio and boardroom to boot. Now Caley has the space she needs to hosts classes for some of those pretty posies.Plusses? Easy parking, in a parking lot. Close to the skytrain. Plus, there's Fat Cat, who is worth a visit in my kitty loving opinion.Listed in: 5 Star Reviews - You deserve…

Read the reviews on Yelp and used Garden Party Flowers to send some flowers to a coworker to congratulate them on their new baby. Amy and co were extremely attentive and went that extra mile to reassure me that the flowers arrived on time and to the right address, and within our budget. I was thrilled when they sent a picture of the happy recipients with their bouquet as a guarantee of delivery and would definitely use them again and again!

I love Garden Party Flowers! I found them a year or two ago on Twitter actually (random, I know!) and have been using them ever since!
Amy is a wicked floral designer - I never know what I want so give super vague directions like "girlie" or "presentation bouquet" or "what can you do for $20?" and somehow she comes up with the most amazing designs that EVERYONE compliments me on. I use them to provide soloist bouquets for an amateur orchestra I perform with and they always look amazing - and they're beautifully wrapped in colourful tissue too!
They also make an effort to get to know their regulars so that when I call to order something, it feels like calling a friend! -

I am incredibly impressed with Garden Party Flowers. I picked up a "Designers Selection - 50" and an Oriental Orchid and both are perfectly abundant and fresh. The treatment I received was second to none including carrying my flowers to my car for me and making sure they were situated on the back seat so they didn't fall over and get wrecked (they didn't!).
I've been wary of going to florists due to downtown stores being highly overpriced for what you get so if you're looking for a stunning bouquet or a fresh plant for a good price steer your way to them. They really take the time to listen to your request and get you what you want, not what they think you should have.
Enjoy and don't miss giving Fat Cat a nice scratch behind the ears. -

This shop is a floral-patterned dream. But don't think the floral patterns of your grandmother's wallpaper. This spot oozes a fresh-toned, funky-colored vibe, producing fun bouquets and potted plants to match. There are also a selection of neat little gift items and cards to take card of all the last-minute gifts needs.
The staff is friendly but busy. Admire the nice window displays and the creative detail. Also, I'm rather partial to the fat cat who lives on the couch at the back of the store. -

Garden Party Florists are totally awesome. They are Vancouver's Flower Geeks! They love what they do and know their stuff: colours, seasons, and growers. It is exciting to simply be in their store and look at all the cool plants in there.
I got married this year in November and it being late fall and all, there aren't that many vibrant local flowers to choose from, but Amy + her crew made it work!
They are enthusiastic and helpful, if you're not sure exactly what you want. Their flickr page shows their verve (http://www.flickr.com/... ) with bright interesting colour and texture combinations. Some brides like the all white look, and they have pages of that on their flickr site, but we wanted colourful, fun and interesting, within our budget.
I did have some unreasonable budget expectations (we shopped around ) but Garden Party were nice about it and reset my expectations with some suggestions and images of what could be accomplished with the original budget and also estimates for what we really wanted.
They were BUSY BUSY BUSY, but as the wedding got closer they sent pictures of sample arrangements for the dining tables and even my bridal bouquet. The decision was a total no brainer. Not only did I know what I was getting with Garden Party, the design was clean, fun and sophisticated. One of the other florists we had talked to said she envied [Garden Party] who had that sort of stock on hand to be able make us a sample.
We didn't have to worry about the setup of the mirrors or even the bridal and bridesmaid vases we bought on the side (cheaper at Canadian Tire and Michaels respectively). We just dropped them off a few days before the event and they took care of everything! There were even extra rose petals prettily arranged on the signing table which I KNOW we forgot all about when we ordered our flowers.
The only down side was that my groom's bouquet (of 3 delicate mokora orchids to match my bouquet) wasn't able to stand up to the millions of hugs we got from well-wishers before and after the ceremony. It didn't even make it to reception time except the decorative sprig of berries on it! -

I used to use this shop for my work purposes (consulting group)... based in Los Angeles, but had to fly out to Vancouver a lot, we could always depend on Garden Party for their help. I think I've put them through hell a few times, as I had a couple of last minute fly-ins and needed some flowers for decoration ASAP.
I only came across this shop, because I have 2 clients that use them to decorate their corporate offices... which actually is a VERY good idea I had never thought about for my own offices in LA. It really does make the environment more classy for when clients walk in... its like that extra cherry on top, the one to close the sale.
The staff here was so helpful, they filled my order by staying after their closing time just to help me out. And they have this fat cat, which I guess is their mascot..... everyone loves that cat!
The flowers they offer are VERY fresh. I dont know the first thing about flowers, but I told them of the focus groups/events/meetings I would have to hold in Vancouver, and they would email me a few arrangements so I could choose... which btw, all their arrangements look phenomenal!!!
But since im a guy, i still didnt know which arrangements to choose per event I had to run.... so i always left it up to the shop, and never once have they pushed me to buy more than i needed. they are very honest about their business.
But im sad i left my job, and no longer have to fly to vancouver as much... unless its for family. I still use these guys to buy flowers for my relatives in the area... and for a while I used them to send roses to my ex.... but thats whole different story.
The owner here is also quite a tech geek, and they were doing this consultation for a wedding... they had all these pics and stuff on a nice computer to show what they've done before... and word on the street is, they started using the iPad too... which is a pretty neat idea for a florist. most other florists ive been to, they cant show you anything... and if they do have anything, its from these old photos that are faded...
LIKE: Helpful, great prices, great arrangements/flowers, quick, DEPENDABLE
DISLIKE: That cat sleeps too much
VERDICT: I cant even find a shop here in LA that matches the level of customer service this shop has offered me over the years... very easy to develop a relationship with the owners and staff, as everyone is so friendly. Need to send flowers to loved ones in vancouver?? here's your shop! -

Walked in for a wedding consult, super thankful they could squeeze me in without an appointment. Amy was SO sweet and SO helpful. After visiting 4 florists I booked them on the spot. Amy took so much time chatting and helping me figure out what it is exactly I do and do not like. Anyone looking for wedding flowers (or otherwise) I HIGHLY recommend Garden Party. Meet with them for a free consult, you'll see the difference!

Lovely people, lovely flowers.
We got flowers here when a family member was in the hospital and they were GORGEOUS and healthy and everyone was impressed.
We were hoping to use them again for our wedding but we left it wayyy too late and, sadly, they're fully booked already (not surprisingly! - I should have known better!). Then they were kind enough to refer us to other florists.
Highly recommended.
PS - love Fat Cat -

Amazing flowers! They supplied the flowers for the Tango Elite Event at r.tl for senoritas to put in their hair (or dresses, like me, since it wouldn't stay in my hair). They also set up the flowery backdrop for the Carnival Wonderland Community Yelp event at the Ayden Gallery. It was fantastic, creative, and artistic! I would totally be inclined to purchasing flowers from here the next time I'm in need of some flora. They are conveniently located for me as well.

Garden party is so great! We use them at work and they always go out of their way to make sure we have exactly what we want. We were doing an Asia-related event and they had the national flowers from almost every Asian country brought in to create the most beautiful table arrangements.
They are also incredibly professional and easy to work with, we will be life-long customers for sure -

Without a doubt the best florist in town! Amy and her staff created the most gorgeous floral arrangements for our recent wedding and stayed well within our budget (1/3 of the cost quoted by other florists!). The staff were incredibly helpful, and after talking to us, Amy knew exactly what would work. The end result far surpassed our expectations!

If you really want to make an impression with flowers, this is the place to go! With such beautiful arrangements on their website, I had a difficult time deciding online which one I wanted for my special Valentine. I finally decided on one, and believe me when I say that it was absolutely stunning in person. Said Valentine was the center of attention at school, and everyone asked her where they were from. It was a refreshing change from your plain-jane dozen roses in a vase.
With great customer service and talented florists creating wonderful and unique floral arrangements, it's tough to find a better place for flowers than Garden Party. -

Garden Party is a great florist, friendly staff and a nice atmostphere. They actually made me a skull out of roses for a friends birthday in Vancouver which I could not attend. I was not sure how they would do such a strange request but it turned out amazing! I think they have pictures of it on their website or blog. Anyways, if you're looking for unique and creative flowers in Vancouver this is the place.

I have never been to the shop but ordered a bouquet online for my Mom's birthday this week. She was thrilled with the flowers and I got a personal note from Caley at GPF who created and delivered the arrangement. Caley also included pictures so that I could see the final product.
