Garbanzo B&B do a pretty solid quick fixes on my DH ride when i'm riding the whistler bike park. they have a pretty good attitude and they get work done in a hurry. they seem to realize that everyone wants to be in and out ASAP and do the best they can to accommodate as many riders in a day as possible. i'd take a more major repair somewhere else in the village where you will likely find a better price.

Review from John C.
This bike rental/retail/repair shop is represents some of the worst aspects of Whistler: lack of service, snotty employees who apparently don't give a rat's behind and head-on-desk frustration.
Over the last three weeks, my wife & I have unfortunately had to go in this store a few times. They supposedly offer repair, but good luck getting the guys behind that counter to even bother. We had obtained a decent mountainbike abandoned by a tenant in our suite. It simply needed a new pedal and a tune-up, but the guy refused to even try to help. He immediately suggested we go to any of their competitors to see if they had a replacement part in stock. Oh sure, he could order it, but that might require effort. We also had a kid's bike that needed a very simple tune-up, but he glanced at it and again refused. He flat out was disinterested in helping us and gave us the attitude that we were awful people for bothering him in the first place. How dare we approach a bike repairman about bike repairs!
On another occasion, my wife wanted to order a cruiser bike. The young man wanted to shoo us away because he'd have to call Kona to see if they had it in stock. He acted like it was a major hassle.
I'm sorry that taking $450 off our hands is a major hassle. When we pointed out we lived 30km away and that we couldn't just simply pop in a day or two later to see if he had bothered to call, he finally gave in and had us come back an hour later.
Ironically, the bike was in stock and was in our possession two short days later.
The staff gives off the air that "hey, we're getting paid to be here, but we're not lifting a finger otherwise". It's one of the reasons why I'm not terribly fond of Whistler. My wife had some gift certificate money to use there...otherwise, there's no way we'd ever have darkened their doorstep. I suggest to all visitors of Whistler to seek out another store for any bicycle needs.
