I've only been here for the beer, and wish I could do it more often. The selection is truly outstanding, and there really is careful attention to serving an excellent selection of hard to find beer. That includes at least a dozen craft and imported beers on tap, and many more varieties in bottles.

Service at the bar was OK the times I've been there, even when things got a bit busy. They seem to know what they're serving and will take a minute to talk to you about your order. I do have a minor quibble with the fact that they don't have the 'proper' glass for certain beers, but I gather that has a lot to do with lousy customers walking off with them.

Haven't tried much of the food but what I have had has been OK as far as it goes.

My brother and I went this past Saturday and Sunday.  It sounds sad, but the craft beer selections were excellent and it can be hard to find in Canada, so I had to maximize my time there while visiting London.

Food:  It was very good!  I had the house burger, my brother had the sausage and schnitzel platter.  The burger was excellent, but the HOMEMADE sausage platter was amazing.

Beer:  As I mentioned, the beer craft beer selection is very good, many different styles on draft or cask.  As a beer nerd I was compelled to several before dumping my butt in a cab, but I highly recommend Flying Monkey's Smash Bomb IPA.  They also post their upcoming tap selections on their website, quite handy in my opinion.

Service:  I know someone had commented on the bar service, and I have to agree to an extent.  Saturday night we had a really friendly knowledgeable bar tender (was a total beer nerd), but the guy Sunday was less than motivated to do his job.

Atmosphere: Nice, it feels like an upscale pub with odd mid evil looking lighting.  The bathroom is a haul though (way downstairs), plan ahead and pack a lunch for the trip.  There was a good crowd was definitely there on Saturday, but it wasn't to the point you couldn't find a seat or were elbow to elbow with someone you didn't want to be.

I would definitely go back, and recommend it to any other beer nerds out there.

Attached to the side of the Covent Garden Market in downtown London this place is the premier destination for beer geeks and craft beer lovers alike.

When you first walk in the decor is very nice with a big bar right at the front, and a huge patio outside for all your people watching needs. For all beer drinkers it can be a little overwhelming at first as they usually have about 15-20 beers on tap alone, and you will not find crap like blue, bud, Canadian, Coors, etc on tap here, it is all good craft beer and the majority of it being local. They have a huge beer menu which you will ponder over for at least half your stay here thinking about which amazing beer you would like to try next. They offer a little bit of everything from international favourites like Mikkeller, Southern Tier, even a Samuel Adams Utopias! A whole section of Belgians which include the staples like Westvleteren, Westmalle, Rochefort, Orval, Duvel, Chimay, and St. Bernardus. Next is a whole section devoted to the Canadian craft industry including many of my favourite breweries such as Wellington, Mill St, Dieu Du Ciel!, Unibroue, Grand River, and Flying Monkeys.

There is always something for everyone, and although on my last couple visits were strictly for the amazing beer selection, I have not tried the food yet but it does look and smell amazing, the next time I'm there a duck poutine is on the agenda for sure! If you are a beer geek or even just a lover of local craft beers, you have to be sure to check this place out, easily the best place in London to get a pint, with friendly staff and great service this place will be your new go to and the place you and all your friends rave about! Cheers!

Great beer selection but very poor service.  The bar side seems particularly disinterested in waiting on you.  Sorry for being such an inconvenience.
