History
Established in 1981
The Gallery Walk, the first of its kind in Canada, was formed in 1986 to promote within our community both art and artists of merit, focusing especially on work by Canadian artists.
The Gallery Walk Area is located just West of the downtown core in the 124 St. area, a vital business community with many quality restaurants, gift and clothing shops, bookstores, live theater venues and many more specialty businesses in its 12 block area.
Although formal unguided Gallery Walks are planned two times per year, we encourage group walks throughout the year, and will be happy to assist in the planning of any gallery walk for schools, conventions, or groups in general. Please contact any of the member galleries about their specific artists, or if you are planning a visit to find out specific information about upcoming "Walks".
