Review from Inga K.
We have been meaning to try this place for a year! So.. in this heat wave, and with our children out of town, it was time to have a dinner date on a Thursday night... crazy I know...
The location of this place is kind of off putting - it is in the middle of mini strip mall land in West Langley right on the Surrey border. When you walk in however, it is charming. The layout is so nice, the decor is very appealing, it is clean and it isn't deafening like other local eateries.
Now for the food:
Inga's Tzatziki meter: OK but just. I think it is mass produced stuff. A Greek restaurant with its head on straight needs to make it in the kitchen not scoop it from a bucket.
The prices were about $2 higher per entree than a regular spot, but the upscale atmosphere and such made that an expected thing.
The food was ok. The beef vegetable soup starter was AMAZING!!! The Greek salad was tasty but not generous. Entree presentation and quantity was good too.
They have an upstairs loft type area where you can book for a private party, and it was REALLY nice. Service was perfect and the air conditioning was full blast which refreshed our melting souls.
They have Greek Boutari wine, which made my hubby happy.
Very good for a night out with friends. -

As a person having 25 years of customer service experience I am very happy to sat that Gallini's is tops in customer service. My wife and I have eaten at the restaurant a couple of times and take out at least 15 times and always have been met with smiling hosts. If a mistake was made on an order the staff is very apologetic and make up for their mistake. Ps my favorite menu item is their Kotafilo.

Great atmosphere! Wow you don't expect to find this kind of place in Langley. But recently over Christmas I have found quite a few good finds. Now given my start you would expect it would be higher than 3.
The food I found for a Greek restaurant should have been more. We all ordered souvlaki. I found that the portions were tasty it wasn't Greek style enough. There should be so much food that you can't finish. I like my potatoes with lots of lemon and moist. They seem to be lacking that flavor I was looking for. I ordered chicken and beef and the beef was quite good. Don't get me wrong. The food is average.
What is great is the interesting multi-level layout and decor. It is a very nice warm place. Definitely a place to chill with your friends. -

Above average decor. Definately a date destination. Good service. Nice presentation. If you wish to experience the great decor, ask to be seated on the main floor. Galini's often seats groups upstairs where the decor isn't as noticable. We do agree that the tatziki did not seem house made.
As for location... Its at the end of a well maintained strip mall next to some mature evergreens. Since it isn't a chain, I doublt the owner has the Keg dollars to finance their own stand alone location.
We often hear friends complain about portions. In most fine dining restaurants the portions are smaller as the focus is on quality not quanity. If quanity it the issue, the U.S. has plenty of buffets that will will you to the brim at minimal cost and quality. Cheers. -

One if our favorite places to eat. I thought the portions were very decent. not as much as Ive had at other Greek places but more than I can usually eat. Only thing is that we've waited a while for our meals a few times, but it was jam packed.
