My brother's in from out of town for the week and after a long weekend, we just wanted to have a pizza and movie-watching day. We wanted to order in from a really good pizza place, and not just another major chain restaurant, so we thought of Gabriel's.
We took a quick look at their menu and decided on their "Meatsa Pizza", which is a meat lover's pizza with bacon strips, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and ham. It was $26 for an extra large. We also got one order of Buffalo sauce and three orders of homemade garlic dipping sauces on the side, and a 2L bottle of Pepsi. Altogether, it came to about $45 with tax plus tip.
The pizza was pretty salty because of all of the meat toppings, but it was really tasty. They packed on the meat, with much more toppings than I've ever seen on a pizza. There was also a thick layer of cheese. The crust was thick, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The slices were huge and there was so much cheese and toppings that they were just falling off the side of every slice once you tore them apart. The dipping sauce wasn't too garlicky, very creamy, and was a generous portion. Always satisfied with Gabriel's!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Pizza is okay, but expensive. Chicken bites are horrible, dense balls of fried-up coating. Poutine is made with shredded cheese, instead of curd.
Delivery often takes an hour, even if you live 4 blocks away. -

Out of all the Gabriel's Pizza's I've had, this location is consistently alright. I'm not a fan of the pizza in Ottawa but if I do order delivery it would be from the Bank St Gabriel's. The delivery is always fast and the pizza is always the same. You know what to expect when ordering from this establishment!
